Anyone know of any friends, or any businesses that will hire 15 year olds? Im a female living in West Plains. I am a hard working, reliable person. My family is in need of money to help out with bills. I can work after school, weekends, and this summer, which starts May 11. Anything will do, just needing money to help around with bills. If you or someone you know is hiring, comment, and I'll let you know how to get ahold of me.

I would consider placing an ad in the paper like "high school student looking for a summer job - cleaning, babysitting, etc." Make sure you and your parents meet with anyone who replies beforehand to make sure they are good people. It is really hard to get hired on anywhere until you are 16 - but that is a great start to build up references. If you will be 16 soon, try cashiering at Wal-Mart.

are you cop trolling for pedophiles ?
I think you are !

but if your really a kid trying to get a job on the Internet your asking for BIG trouble !!!!!

your putting yourself in a dangerous position with all the weird-O's out there .

your putting yourself in a position that others can easily take advantage of you and possibly you may never be seen or heard from again !

Have I scared you ?
GOOD now go be a kid and let your parents take care of you its their responsibility !!!!

Sometimes, kids don't have the luxury of being a kid. The fact that you posted this means you don't understand.
Your advise is generally good, but...sometimes it's not so simple.

i agree theres bad people out there and its sad used to my grandma would hire local teens to do yard work. Or people would hire teenage babysitters all the time. now you cant do that cause everyones leery n ask why. Or like my gma shes afraid of how teens are now days. Its just unreal how much things change in fifteen or twenty years

she wasn't my child but I knew her , she was a beautiful 3 yr old .

as for paranoid , Nope , I just know what humans are capable of and I don't believe in giving one the opportunity to hurt a child .

And fact is a teen has no business on these boards interacting with adults .

And it leaves one to seriously question why a adult that's anonymous on the Internet would interact with a child .

Well not really because I'm at least 90% sure why one would interact with a child !

The U.S. Department of Justice reports

797,500 children (younger than 18) were reported missing in a one-year period of time studied resulting in an average of 2,185 children being reported missing each day.
203,900 children were the victims of family abductions.
58,200 children were the victims of non-family abductions.
115 children were the victims of “stereotypical” kidnapping.(These crimes involve someone the child does not know or someone of slight acquaintance, who holds the child overnight, transports the child 50 miles or more, kills the child, demands ransom, or intends to keep the child permanently.)

Over a quarter of a million kids missing in one year !

2,185 missing every day , Paranoid , NOT !!

3 years is too young to be looking for a job anyway. What could they do? Maybe be a Politician, Judge, or Lawyer. That's pretty much it
your attempted humour in this instance is grossly pathetic !

gamestop hires when you are fifteen with a work permit. I worked there when I was fifteen. Just be careful if you are a girl, the manager there has a bad rep for harassing any female who walks through the door, or so Ive heard

Bless your heart! I know how you feel sweetie. I'm a single mom, and it isn't fair to have to struggle so hard, just to get by. I know you want to help your mom, and I'm sure she is so very proud of you for caring so much. I know you might have to do without things you would love to have, but try just enjoying being a kid while you can. Have fun, and goof off with your friends, and your family. You have to grow up so fast, and time sure enough flys by, you shouldn't worry so much about grown up things. I know mine see me struggling, and worrying, and it upsets them, and that breaks my heart! I try to be silly, and joke so they don't know how bad things are. Maybe you can just talk with your mom, and tell her how your feeling, and the two of you come up with a plan. Good luck, but PLEASE don't ever have contact with people on the internet. Everything will work out. As long as you have your mom, siblings, food, and a place to live your gonna be ok ;)
