Boy I'm glad I didn't read this forum before I went to the dentist. I used to go to Deatherage, nice guy, decent dentist, no complaints but he told me I had to have a LOT of work done. Since he doesn't take insurance I had no choice but to look for a local dentist who did. I wound up going to Dr. Noonan and his diagnosis was EXACTLY the same as what Deatherage told me. He didn't fake anything (didn't have to really). I WILL say that I was very impressed with hi skill and technique, I have been to a lot of different dentists. He doesn't mind questions (and I have a LOT) he works quickly and he is vigilant about pain meds, if i so much as squirmed he stopped immediately, give me another shot and wait for it to take effect before continuing. I don't know what these other people are talking about but my experience was a very good one.

Dr, Noonan a dentist here in town is telling everyone that they have a entire mouth full of cavities when this is not the truth. My husband almost believed him until checking with another dentist. BEWARE of Dr. Noonan. I went to him too. He told me that almost all of my teeth were bad. My bill was going to be about $12,000. I went to comfort dental for a second opinion and they told me that I had only two teeth that needed filled. Furthemore, they also informed me that they get alot of patients that come in for a second opinions, and Dr. Noonan tells them the same thing. I am not trying to hurt anyones business. However, this needs to be stopped before some one else gets scammed. I do not know how he can sleep at night. I thought all doctors and dentist had high standards of morals.

I went to Comfort Dental for a couple of years when we first moved here. While I was satisfied with the work done, I hated the constant chit-chat and gossip going on between the dentist and the rest of the staff. I never knew who they were talking about and I'm glad as a few people really got a thorough thrashing. I expect that sort of thing in a beauty shop, but not at the dentist.

It is funny how there are so many Amanda's in West Plains! If you think you know me then what is my last name? I do not care if you think I am lying or not. I am not on here to cause problems. I just stated my opinion. If you like Dr. Temple good for you. As I stated before it is all about preference.

my insurance only covers $1200 a year, and he figured I needed over $3000 worth work.

I had a horrible experience with him. But it was 'before I let him pull a jaw tooth'. I dared to ask him what came after that? And he lost his cool. Saying 'I told you I was going to pull it. Isn't that plain enough?' His eyes were shooting darts. I was stunned. I got up and left and the whole office acted like.... something, I'm not sure what. But it was dead silence and big eyes. I think it was regarding me....the unreasonable patient.

Why is there no information on the guy.
I checked Quake site etc. you think anyone should be able to do a search on him and find stuff. I didn't.
even checked here, and didn't, so posted a question about him, someone responded to look again, I did, and found this thread from 09. Thank you.

I am so glad for this thread. I sent one of my kids to noonan and he told him that he has 15 cavities. I just didnt believe this since it had only been 9 months since his last dentist visit. our old dentist retired and so we had to find another one. needless to say he went to Temple and had only one cavity. we had it filled and life is good. have you even noticed that whenever you pick up the newspaper or horse trader there is dr noonan's face wanting to be your dentist. my dad always said that the good drs and dentist do not need to advertise and I have found this to be true.

someone sould run their own add letting everyone know the truth, or get those who have been hurt by him to get a lawyer to bring suit against. there must be plenty of them, but I bet you won't hear of them because of his insurance has bought their silence.

I am going to Dr Noonan because he takes my insurance. I need oral surgery. Does he do oral surgery? Dentures? Costs? Thanks for any information.

They just wanted my insurance money! Had an appointment this morning! After signing in with a very unfriendly receptionist, they called me back, the assistant wanted to take a panorama X-ray, I said I did not want one taken, that I just wanted regular bite wing rays and cleaning! She sitted me and left, another lady came in and said they needed the pano to make proper diagnosis! I explained I worked in a dental office for 25 years! Had braces, am 59 don't need them again, the a pano detects no cavities, therefore only want bite wings! She made very rude noises left told the dentist what I said and he said " I won't see her then!" This was all within my earshot! She came back in and ask me to leave!
I have great insurance, want to use it for necessities not an unnecessary expensive X-ray! If this is what they do who knows how much more stuff they would do that doesn't need to be done!

Temple was my dentist for years. Then I started bringing in my step children who had not had good dental care prior to me being involved. He gave me a huge lecture about getting my priorities right. I tried to explain situation but he was extremely snide. Really I had my priorities right or I wouldn't have brought the kids in the first place. He lost my family's business for life just because he was so rude. Dr. Mansfield in willow springs seems to be a good dentist and not judgmental.

If I were you I'd stay on top of making sure they don't charge your insurance for the visit anyway. It wouldn't hurt to call your insurance company and let them know exactly what happened so they will deny the claim.
