Sounds like the crown of "moron" goes to you for missing the point of the statement.

I'm pretty sure "the pretty little blond" would be shelia's daughter, amanda. She's an amazing person and when I was in high school she was the nurse there.

I have been advised to put in my application there. I have good skills and a high tolerance of nonsense. However, before I go in, I would like to know a few things:
1) when you say they pay is bad are you being paid less or more than minimum wage?
2) do they higher for full time?
3) what can I do to get highered, stay highered, and move up?
I don't want a job, I want a career.
Thanks!!

Everything is still the same. You make minimum wage, even if you are a CNA and you do not move up unless a position happens to open and you have shoved your head up the bosses ass. This is not a career kind of job, it's a job you get to get by until you find another one. You can go above and beyond for years and they won't even know who you are. There is no appreciation. You are just an employee file that can be replaced. They get several applications a day. If you bring in your application in on Monday and they decide to start hiring on Tuesday everyone that brings their application from Tuesday on will get looked at but most of the time the only people that get hired are past employees or current employees friends or family. They will also screw you over on your paychecks, W2s and vacation. Once people get in they all try to get out. Once they get out and that job doesnt work out it's easy to get back in that's why people come back. Itsball a joke and a scam for the Newton's to make money. Even the vehicles the staff have to drive the clients in are unsafe because they are too cheap to fix them.

So what you are saying is that you couldn't cut it? Newtons have been in business for 21 years, and have a very good reputation.

Newtons don't pay worth a crap, they got rich off tax payers and are back stabbing idiots, seems like everyone has worked there for 3 years and guarantee have only had a quarter raise, if you make over 9 $ an hour you are blowing the son. Screw the newtons .

I applied there yesterday(Thursday) and I have an interview on Monday. I have heard good and bad things about them. But isn't that the way with everything? Everyone has their own views on things and you can't always go by what others say.How hard is it to get hired anyway?

Its easy to get hired. It's pretty easy to keep the job. But you're probably going to end up working way fewer hours than you wanted, or way way more. The scheduling rarely makes sense, the shifts often appear to be chosen at random. The work varies, some days its easy and others it can be pretty stressful. The pay is minimum wage or just over. As far as their reputation, you kind of have to see it from the inside and decide for yourself if some of the things that are slightly off are actually corruption or just negligence/incompetence. Overall it will put a little money in your pocket and food on your table. A job is a job.

Well I am glad that you respect all of the posted opinions on this forum, however half of the comments posted on topix, whether its in regards to Newtons or another topix discussion, almost always start some sort of conflict and a person or persons business is either attacked or has its reputation at risk because people come on here hide behind a screen name and feel like they can say whatever they choose to say on here and have no consequences. If you are new to a town I strongly urge you to go out and expierence the town and people personally rather than going to topix.com to hear nothing but garabage.
Just curious but if Topix is all garbage what are you doing here?
