Just listening to the news. Some members of the House and XPres Carter both are attributing the outcry during Obamas speech as racism. Why didn't President Clinton go back into Iraq after Sadamn violated airspace, used his own aircraft to gas yes gas Kurds and Shites? Oh yeah his was too busy not having sex.

When the Bush administration talked about spending a million here and a billion there for the war, many people asked where they were getting the money. It came from buyers of Treasury securities -- which are basically a big batch of IOUs that are auctioned off every three months. The money flows in from all over the place: from individual investors, corporations, pension funds and governments, both in the U.S. and around the world. Basically, anyone with a large amount of cash looking for a safe place to put it is a good candidate for holding U.S. Treasury debt. This practice continues under the Obama Administration.

Anyway, these foreign countries (who hope they will make a profit from their investments) now have a vested interest in keeping the US economy afloat. The biggest holder of Treasury debt is the U.S. government, after that the biggest chunk of the remaining IOUs are owned by foreign countries. As of January 2009, China is the largest foreign owner of US Treasury Securities. We owe them $634.8 billon dollars. Because of this situation, I believe that the Obama administration (and all future administrations) must treat them with kid gloves. China could actually break us if they asked for all that money back. This situation shocked me when I first learned about it.

If people in their own country don't defend themselves, how is that the USA's problem? Why should our sons & daughter die? And what does that have to do with 911? Quit grasping at straws and watch something other than FAUX NEWS.
