You people are so crude! It is not easy to obtain disability status. The ONLY way you can is if you have serious health problems, and even then you have to fight tooth and nail for what you paid out of each pay check for in the event something was to happen with your health. Support these people instead of making them feel worse than they already do!

Disability is a learned behavior. Once one person in a family gets on it, they all begin to file.

Those that are telling us that are disabled to go get a job are apparently not disabled. Let's see if you can get a job if you have ti have help everyday getting dressed, bathing, simple housework, you can't be on computers bc your epileptic, you can't sit and do one thing for more than 5 or 10 min bc you have naroclepsy, and to top this all off you are bipolar and have major depression bc of all this crap. I used to be a very successful Manager for a good company and now I can't even begin to try and to more than one thing at time. So you tell me what job I can do: that requires no lifting or moving of my arms more than a few inches from my body; that doesn't require the use of a computer (had a friend post this); or one where the boss doesn't mind you sleeping on the job several times a day; or one that you don't have to multitask or do complex work. Let's see that's about all the jobs out there that I can't do. Also, to accommodate my disabilities it would cost them too much.

3/4 of the people on disability don't need to be. They just have some made up disease like depression, bi-polar, some hyperactivity disorder or autism and get a monthly check. If you have worked and have a physical disability that prevents you from future work then maybe you should get disability. If you are mentally unable to do your daily living then you need to be either taken care of by friends/family or put in a institution.

There are too many crazies out walking around and these days when you hear of someone walking into a McDonalds and blowing people away with a handgun you always later hear that they are on disability for some mental disorder. If you are that bad off you need locked up before you start firing away with a pistol.

I have heard great stories about how a disability lawyer can help change lives. I'm glad to know that there are professionals out there wanting to help people. They helped my brother. http://www.billgordon.com/

I heard there is quite an elite arsenal of lawyers being trained in Surrey. Apparently there's some kind of super-law firm being established. http://www.mactuc.com
