My wife & I hated the old dog house. Woman at the counter was always rude. We eat at almost famous several times a week & we love it. I would say alot of others do to. Parking lot is usually full at lunch.

I've never had anything nastier or greasier than the food at Potters. The old owners did a much better job. I have yet to see a full parking lot since the new owners took over. But if you like it, I'm happy for you.

That's funny, today my colleague & I tried to get in the parking lot & it was full. I agree with the previous post, the old owners were jerks. We love it, keep up the great work!

I agree, everytime I am in there the parking lot is full of cars and lots of people enjoying the great food... So , all you people that don't like it, then don't go there! Pretty stupid of you people to post negative comments on topix about a restaurant but that's the ignorant people of West Plains. Nuff said.....

Jeez, nothing but an opinion... Ive had all the local bbq and I simply foung almost famous to be lacking in taste, price and mainly the serving size was small when paying as much as you were. Also that Potters was a great product, EVERYTHING tasted great and it was inexpensive... The owners of almost famous I do not know and they may be great people but when a paying customer is not satisfied they should be told before 1 unsatisfied customer turns into 20. I told the staff at almost famous what I thought in a polite way and they thanked me for the info. The comment about being on welfare is classless as I work and support local business with my earned cash. Ms. Adams must be friend or family and knows nothing about running a business by evidence of you name calling. If I got a bad set of spark plugs from Autozone I'd let them know I had a bad sales experience but I guess you'd rather a person with negative feedback just not say anything and never return to the business so it would maybe close up like 99% of the shops end up doing around here... Your offbase and way too sensitive Melissa.
I agree whole heartedly, I went in there last Friday at 12:30, I noticed there were only a few cars in the parking lot. When I went in, there was only a couple having lunch so several of the cars were employees. I was dissappointed when I went in that they had done away with the Potter's menu all together. I tried a burger with fries, I waited 25 minutes for my order to be ready. When I went to eat my burger, the top of the bun had mold on it. I took it back and told the girl at the counter, and she acted like I was just being a complainer. She offered to give me a new top for my bun, by this time I had been there 35 minutes and didn't have time to eat, because I had to get back to work. I told her that and she turned around and took my food and threw it into the trash can behind her, and then turned around and just stared at me. I thought that she would offer a refund, but no she just stood there. Needless to say, I won't go back and my experience will be shared with fellow workers at Howell-Oregon. The place was dirty looking, and now I know why there was nobody there in the middle of the lunch rush period. Too bad, I really miss Potter's even though they were always packed. I can't imagine this place can last long unless they need a write-off.

Maybe the new barbecue across from Wendy's will be good. Sooner or later West Plains is due for edible BBQ! it should be a requirement of every town to have a hometown barbecue joint to be proud of. At least one hometown restaurant of any type would be good... We shall see........

I think you need to find something better to do with your time. Every business has it's good days and bad. Same for their employees. I've been there many times and never had an issue. That's more than I can say about most of the eating establishments in town. But I don't go on topix and act like a twelve year old. I for one like Almost Famous and would eat there over most places in town. If you don't like it, don't eat there.

Who in the hell goes out to eat to buy a damn hotdog or flipping nachos. If you can't make that at home, that is sad. Why doesn't this area have an Italian or Carribean restaurant? Coltons sucks, too. The grade of beef is questionable. It is basically Walmart meat.

Ozark Pizza has good "italian". The best hometown restaurant, along with Movie Time, and Cafe 37.

This has got to be a joke right? For one the employees park in the back, behind the restaurant, not in the front where it is for OUR CUSTOMERS ONLY. So there's lie one. You waited 25 minutes for your "burger and fries"? Anyone who has eaten at Almost Famous and gotten a burger knows it doesn't take that long for a damn burver unless the grill is full AND they are very busy. There's lie two. You had mold on your bun? Huh, that's strange. You say it was on the top bun...wouldn't the employees have seen that? Pretry sure it's a pretty clean environment there. Lie three. Ready for lie four? You said it took 25 minutes to get your food and then you noticed the mold on your bun and by that time you had been there for 35 minutes? Who the fuck takes 10 minutes to realize there's "mold" on their food? And if you didn't have the time to eat once all of it was said and done then how did you have 10 minutes to sit there and just basically stare at your food? And apparently the girl at the front turned around and threw your food in the trashcan? Jokes on you, there isn't a trashcan up front by the counter where the worker would have been. There's lie five. Need I continue? Anyone who believes this ridiculous story is just as stupid as the "Harley Guy" who made it up.

Well I was not impressed with Almost Famous at all, it was below average bbq but Potters was really awesome (aside from closing whenever they wanted. I hope they keep up the same standards with the hot dog part.
