I'm sure there are enough people in town with poor taste in food for them to make it another 6 months.

what the heck is the almost famous part? do they now have 2 business'in the same building? If its the same owners as Potters then I have no doubt that the food will be excellent. One thing Potters needs to do is stop closing early. I called friday to place an order at 6pm and the vm said open til 8pm and so does thier Facebook page. I drive there and there closed?!?! WTF? Poor business practices there. They need to be open til when they advertise they are... Foods great though

Potters sold to Almost Famous BBQ, the owners have health issues, thats why they sometimes closed early. So hopefully that will change with the new ownership, Lisa is great I know she will do great.

Well I was not impressed with Almost Famous at all, it was below average bbq but Potters was really awesome (aside from closing whenever they wanted. I hope they keep up the same standards with the hot dog part.

It's so funny to hear you talk about these 2 businesses like you know what is actually going on. Of course, that's why you're on here under a fictitious name spewing lies.

I ate at the NEW Almost Famous today & it was good. I can't wait until they get the BBQ over so the real pit smoked BBQ is served.

Best of luck Almost Famous, we're doing great.

I agree, these people on here actually think they know what's going on and dont even have a clue... I cant wait until the BBq is there also.. We ate there this evening and everything was delicious.. And hats off to them!! They will do very well, i have a feeling... Isn't it funny how most people have nothing nice to say about a new business......It;s almost like they are jealous that some people have the motivation to do something besides collect welfare, food stamps and medicaid..lol

I find it upsetting that they are combined. Potters quality was so much better than almost famous. When potters closed up shop they should've closed the business for good. Not sell it to the highest bidder. The best thing about potters wasn't just the food. It was the atmosphere. They made you feel like family an the customer always came first. Breaks my heart knowing that the food won't be the same and The potters family is no more.
I wish Lisa and John the best. Hopefully this works out for them and they can uphold the potters standard.

From what i understand , they are keeping the same quality of food that Potter's had and just combining the bbq also. Potter's closed the business due to family business, they just couldnt close up and walk away, i am sure they had a lot invested in the business.

Jeez, nothing but an opinion... Ive had all the local bbq and I simply foung almost famous to be lacking in taste, price and mainly the serving size was small when paying as much as you were. Also that Potters was a great product, EVERYTHING tasted great and it was inexpensive... The owners of almost famous I do not know and they may be great people but when a paying customer is not satisfied they should be told before 1 unsatisfied customer turns into 20. I told the staff at almost famous what I thought in a polite way and they thanked me for the info. The comment about being on welfare is classless as I work and support local business with my earned cash. Ms. Adams must be friend or family and knows nothing about running a business by evidence of you name calling. If I got a bad set of spark plugs from Autozone I'd let them know I had a bad sales experience but I guess you'd rather a person with negative feedback just not say anything and never return to the business so it would maybe close up like 99% of the shops end up doing around here... Your offbase and way too sensitive Melissa.

Btw. I did not like Almost Famous ANY of the four times I went there and will certainly not be wasting my "welfare check" on them unless the quality of food is significantly affected by their move. It has nothing to do with crapping on a business, I just don't have enough money to waste on sub-par dry bbq. Let's see a food quality change and some special events or coupons and I will try it again. There is just no way I'm going in and paying full price for what I've had before.

Wow! I can't believe how terrible the people talk about others.. If I had a bad experience with a business, i would tell the business not post it on topix. Just sayin.....
