Todd Thorn is the biggest piece of shit in this town. He sleeps around and if you are a woman, he is completely inappropriate. I had hired him to help me, and he made a pass at me. What's insane is that he was badmouthing his much younger girlfriend and her son, and the next day he was with them. I know that gossiping about him is not the right thing to do, but justice needs to be served. Every person I talk to that brings up his name never has anything good to say about him, his girlfriend, or his ex-wife. He brought his personal life into his profession and that is why I'm sharing it with the rest of you.
Please be cautious of him.
Englebrecht and Williams are a great investment.

Why not?

And he is a reserve deputy, not a full time deputy

I didn't say anything bad, I just ask! I don't know him, so I wouldn't say good or bad about him, I just ask a question.

I never said you did. I am just curious why anyone would wonder why he is both a reserve deputy and an attorney?

I'll be careful not to slander/libel todd, while documenting the black and white. Todd has a hard time remaining objective in his trials, has a history of raising fee's after taking a case/accepting initial payment and I know for a fact has questionable legal ethics-after discovering in a consultation that he is actually representing the other party todd will obtain as much info from that consulation as possible, supposed to be privileged/confidential, to use against the person. The ethical thing to do would be advise the individual that he is representing the other party (I know of 4 cases). And there are rumors abound, but there's really no need to sling mud or attempt to smear an already tarnished name, the facts speak loudly enough.

Todd is employed and not living off the gov't. That's more right there than 99% of the critics on this site. He's also a decent guy and good lawyer.

I'm employed and not living off the government, never had a dime of state or federal assistance...go 1%'rs.And:
A.) Since the a lot of of todd's clients are paying with child support or welfare money (TANIF), technically he is kind of living off the government.
B.) Taking someone's hard earned "work money" to do a mediocre job and attempt to settle before trial isn't exactly heroic.
C.) It's amusing that even someone defending todd can only go as far as to say he's a "decent guy"...not good, great, stand-up, etc...just decent. Love it.

A. With your example, pretty much everyone is living off the gov't. Including you.
B. Settling before trial is what happens with 99% of all cases. And settling before trial is always the client's decision to make.
C. I classify people as decent or not. Maybe your classifications are more dramatic.
