I hate Macy's and their low-quality clothing.

I remember my mother and I would go to Chicago when I was a child and go Chritsmas shopping at Macys; it was a wonderful experience, and I always looked forward to it. The company expanded too fast, became too corporate and got away from its "exclusivity" which is what made the store so charming.

Oh well, all things that make your childhood so special will soon pass away, I guess.

Gee, could it be because Macy's sucks? As in "here is a coupon, but five million things are excluded......" and overpriced stuff that can be found elsewhere for less. I will not miss Macy's.

Maybe they will learn that their name does not carry the weight they feel it does. I had a 50.00 gift card that I almost didn't use because I couldn't find anything UNDER 50.00 that would fit or smelled good! I really don't like their stores. I'll go to Ross, Marshall's or anywhere other than Macy's. Too bad for the employees though.

Geez, why all the haters? I like Macy's and am glad they're not closing down. You just have to know when the 1 day sales are and then shop the preview day before to get a good bargain.

ps Oh Brother, what were you looking to buy that smell was an issue? Just curious...

I'll bet this poster regrets sending this when (s)he realizes that Macy's sells perfumes and colognes.

Macy's can be good if you shop clearance. They have some pretty good children's clothes on clearance at great prices! It's all about knowing when.

What perfume or cologne could you buy at Marshall's or Ross that you can't get at Macy's?? My guess is nasty cheapy stuff. You aren't one of those people that baths in that drivel are you?

Oh, PLEASE don't shut down my Macy's store !

I just LOVE shopping in a place where underpaid, inattentive salespeople sell overpriced stuff that my family and I don't need !

Really. I go shopping there every October., and get the bulkiest, cheapest crap I can find. I return it later, then go to Wal-Mart and buy stuff for gifts, that I put in all the Macy's bags I collected. You should see peoples' eyes LIGHT UP !!

I'll keep doing this as long as there's a Macy's -- which will probably be a year or two.

No, I shower regularly and I enjoy lotion. I generally get them from Victoria's Secret if it's any of your business. I just think Macy's is overpriced, at least for this gal's wallet. And...not enuf petite clothes!

My goodness, I don't know why all the nit-picking...You are right, Victoria's Secret is usually not a bargain hunter's dream, I just like their fragrances enough to pay the price. My point was, I can't find any fragrances at Macy's. Let's face it, everyone has a different opinion and fortunately for the whole world, we all don't like the same way or feel the same way. It doesn't mean one is right or wrong, just a matter or preference or opinion. OK?
