It is delightful to see a rekindling of the harmonious spirit of cooperation between rail lines that harkens back to early Americana. The "All Aboard Florida" improvements will help spark an economic recovery here given the fact it will create more jobs and greatly improve the ability to commute between major cities with safety, speed and security. While public services have failed
to offer any solution to the rising inter-city congestion, here comes a private company, namely the historic Florida East Coast Industries to offer an upgrade in services and at the same time, save taxpayer dollars.

Henry Flagler founded FEC, the company, to create a railroad transportation system throughout the state. At that time, the railway system went all the way down to Key West. Florida East Coast Industries is a privately owned and operated company that will reestablish an awesome rail service in Florida. The plan is for 240 mile long rail line that includes 200 miles of existing track (that Flagler put down in the early 1900's) plus an additional 40 miles of new track that will be laid from the west coast east to Orlando and eventually expand to Tampa and Jacksonville. The Miami - Orlando route is schedules to be operational in 2014.

This railway will create new jobs for the state, and building, running and maintaining it is not going to cost taxpayers a dime! I cant wait. The drive between Miami and Orlando is a nightmare; roads are always congested, someone is always getting into an accident slowing down the entire trip. I personally will enjoy the hassle free ride.
