If she can afford to be bonded out, why didn't she take her daughter to a clinic and have this procedure performed legally. Oh, that's right, she's just another third worlder who wants to bring her voodoo practices to a civilized country. What was I thinking?

Help ME!

If Howard is CORRECT, according to the laws, then so be it. IF the judge is within his powers, GOOD FOR HIM! This will be a test of WHO's LEGALLY CORRECT, and how well can they present their case to the courts.

PROBLEM IS, it ALL cost the tax payers a great deal of MONEY, for what?

If she did abort, we must deport (the entire family). With credit to Johnny Cochran.

She may be right where she belongs, and I don't disagree with you on that. But for the Judge to impose such bail based on his personal feelings, and then call it his legal opinion, it's not only unprecedented and prejudicial, it flies in direct contravention of the protection of the 8th amendment against excessive bail. And a State Circuit Judge cannot, unilaterally, re-write the U.S. Constitution.

Plain and simple!!!

If this were performed at a clinic it would have been legal and the sitting adimistration and congress would be fine with it as well. They would have probably paid for it as well.....

According to Howard Finkelstein no one is ever guilty. She did not do the crime and if found guilty, she will blame everyone else. Great system.

She couldn't take her to the abortion clinic because the girl has said she wanted to keep the baby. Had she taken her to an abortion clinic and the daughter said that she didn't want to have an abortion they could not perform it. On top of the fact that she was too far along. This woman is a sick excuse for a mother.

Hey Howie. Josef Mengele aborted children early. Maybe it should have been judged that it wasn't murder and not tried and sentenced in absentia? Take your pony-tailed far left wing crap and shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

The public defender with the pony tail is RIGHT! The acted completly out of his emotions that could have been politically-based. If we allow judges to act that way, then I might get executed for not saluting the falg or speaking out against the wrongs of the government. Also, why didn't she just take her daughter to the clinic!? Her actions were terrible, but there must be a proper following of procedure. She wasn't charged with murder so her bail should have been setr accordingly.
This is justice gone bad...red-neck style!

"IT" did not cry. "IT"??? The baby was a boy! That was determined. The baby was breathing! That was determined. The baby was moving his arms! That was determined.
What part of boy who is breathing with lungs and moving his arms constitute an "It"?? Or a "fetus"?? It's a baby!! But society has gotten so used to abortion and thinking it's normal and OKAY! that this poor excuse for a mother and grandmother just took it to another level. It's murder! God bless the judge and more power to him!

she should rot in jail - hello why did she wait until her daughter was 24 weeks - what if those pills killed her daughter would she be facing murder right now? Babies have survived at 24 weeks so that fact that she did not take her daughter to a clinic she did commit murder, distruction of evidence and cruelty. I hope her daughter is doing well!

It's not the money that has to be spent, and if you want to blame anyone, blame the Judge. After all, he went to law school; he (presumably) studied and knows the constitution. The question is not how much money it's going to cost the tax payer to tell a judge he f.....ed up; the question is, how many Americans have put on a unifor and have spilled their blood in defense of the one document, with which this Judge wiped his arse????? Isn't that far more valuable than tax dollars?????? Don't answer that!

ever since I heard the story, my thoughts exactly. I just can't understand the difference between abortion being performed at a clinic or at home. All I know is that abortion is the forcefull removal of a fetus against its will. So no matter where it is performed it is murder. After all, I think I heard the mother is a nurse (?).

How about keeping her in jail for life for the murder she caused?
