Neither parent gave the 14 year old a thought. It is so sad for the boy. I hope someone nice gets to finish raising him and that he will be happy.

Bee Man, the original print of this said he "shot her in the DEAD." Not head. They have since come back and edited it/spell checked it and corrected it. SO very typical of tampabays10. They screw up every single article they post and when the readers tell them about it in the comments, they come back in and "fix" it and then don't say that they have done so so that when the late readers read the correct version and then read the comments they leave rude come-back comments for the first posters who caught the screw up!!

It's getting pretty old tampabays10 ! I don't know if you have 3rd graders writing your stuff or your editors are sleeping on the job but you guys really have to get your s@#t together and start proof-reading your articles before posting them instead of the readers having to do it for you!!

Please tell me how, as the other poster suggested, spell check would catch a "dead" instead of "head".

As to your frustrations:

1. A while back one of the ed/rptr explained the difficult circumstances within which they operate and the way they really hustle to get out breaking news. Their explanation was sincere and polite so I accept it.

2. It's TV news where the culture is different than a paper. The news is read so spelling is less an issue.

3. Plus, do you really care or are you just ragging ?

4. Now, to improve your work: a) eliminate both "that's" in line 7--very rudimentary btw, b)line 1-eliminate "of this", c) line 3/4 - eliminate "come back and", line 4 s/b edited, spell checked and corrected it, d) "single" is redundant in line 5.Oh, there so much wrong you'd better start over.

His post was about the fact that spellcheck will not find the mistake. It wasn't a spelling error; it was a typo.
I understand that TB10 is taking applications. Maybe you should apply.

It sucks when a very serios situation gets reported and the best that some can do is get critical of they typos, spelling, and grammer errors. The understanding of the story is perfectly clear. 14yo sees parents dead due to murder/suicide.

My sympathies to the boy, and his remaining family. I pray they are able to get past this, and somehow lead a normal, happy, healthy life.

When I was 13 years old, my best friend found her mother hanging in her closet. I saw the horror of it all. My dear friend was scarred for life for sure. That is a lot to handle at any stage of life, but at 13 or 14 it is a whole different ball game. There is so much going on in your life and you will never forget what you saw. I pray that this child will be able to find some relief in counsel and that hopefully other family members are around to surround them with love. What a tragic situation, what a horrible story.

Just My Opinion,
