The Post ran a story about this shooting, and someone was quoted saying that Pierce did not hang out with the "wrong people."

Um, Wade has been arrested 13 times since 1996 (this story above mentions two concealed weapons convictions). This is who she thought it was a good idea to hang out with?

Well, now she's dead, and who wants to take a bet that her killing had something to do with who HE was, and who didn't like HIM. If only she'd stayed away.

"was shot several times and died in the street"

Another fine example of a law abiding citizens and handgun violence.

Yawn,

Yeah, um, about that -- murder is not "law abiding". So much for your idiotic theory, there.

See, on the pro-gun side, we point out that whoever shot them was a) not acting legally ("law abiding") b) probably not the legal owner of the gun c) probably already had been convicted of crimes for which he probably should have still been in prison.

As it is, Wade was someone who had been twice convicted of carrying a concealed weapon. Now, we don't have the details of whether that was a firearm or a pocketknife or a sharpened screwdriver or what. If it was a firearm, each charge should have put him in prison for 5 years. If he was in prison for that, he wouldn't be out to be shot in the street (probably over some drug deal he scammed on; did I mention that The Post's story said he had 13 arrests since '96 on drug and weapons charges?).

But the liberals want the GOOD guys to not have guns; and the liberals want the BAD guys to have lenient sentences. The liberals stand for what is evil and destructive. That much is clear.

I mean, look at the sick, demented way in which "The Street" had to twist things to make it look like "law-abiding gun owners" killed these two people. That speaks volumes about those who support gun control. Gotta lie to make the case.

Who is these "We" people? Are you another gun toting, card carrying member of the NRA who believes that everyone should own a gun and use it? Probably. Here's a little tidbit for you card carrying member - people who are unsure of what or how to actually load, aim, fire a gun have their guns taken away from them and used on themselves and others more than those that actually shoot the would be person they are intending to protect themselves against. Here in the Wild Wild West "Sunny South Florida" we have a Governor who is a card carrying member who is an NRA advocate who wants my 97 yr old grandma who has demensia to carry an assault rifle and to go hunting for bear on weekends. Is this the "WE" you are talking about? This girl got killed because of the company she kept - that's obvious. And what does your momma say - you are judged by the company you keep. In this case killed for it. Oh yeah - Guns don't kill people - people kill people. Tell the poor children of this woman that one. I am sure they'll feel much better after that.

to Justifiably Bellicose, I coulnt improve on what you said. Everyone seems to blame either guns or Bush for everything, but it is actually the far left liberal policies that have caused most of the problems in this country with crime, schools and a lazy workforce.

Keith Wade was a college educated man. That's where i met him. He probably was more educated that most of you that posted comments. My condolences go out to the grieving families as your lives are now changed forever. 3 children lost thier mother and 3 others lost thier father. i wish that hurt on no one. Even those that post their biased, thoughtless, stereotypical, and hurtful comments. Remember people this is the internet how do you think the kids feel when they read what you say about their parents. Would you want your loved ones to read these hateful comments after an article about your untimely demise. What comes around goes around.

She got what she 'deserved'? You are an idiot!! Who 'deserves' to be shot and killed because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? He was a lifelong friend of hers. Just because he didn't have a perfect record does that mean she is supposed to turn her back on him? Wow, wouldn't want you as a friend!!

You start out by calling someone's comment idiotic and expect anything but flack?
Now THAT'S idiotic, because anything said after that is lost. All you've accomplished is to cause people to stop reading right there and respond in kind.
I've read many pro-gun comments and they seem to have that same pattern. If you're against guns, you're stupid or an idiot or don't understand the law or whatever.
Apparently an aggressive attitude goes hand-in-hand with being pro-gun. Scary, huh?
