Get facts straight

Who ever had the thread about this subject is wrong. There is a protocol that is strictly regulated on how EMS companies and all other health care providers purchase narcotics. So get your facts straight and quit making false accusations

Watched that on the news last night. Unbelievable . Are EMT and Paramedics not required to submit to drug testing on a regular basis ? Still in shock over that probation officers report

My family was once a victim of the media! You can't always believe what you see on the news or read in the paper! Probation officers are crooked too just like other professionals! This PO might have it out for the people that he/she tends too! Who can you really trust these days???? All things will come out in the end, just sit back and watch and remember don't pass judgment on others cause you yourself are not perfect! We all make mistakes and the punishment is suppose to fit the crime but these days it's not what you have done that you are punished for it's the name that you have or the job that you hold! Individuals that are in the "public eye" are held to a different standard! They can't just be punished they have to be raped over and over by the media and hypocrites that have nothing better to do than try to keep the spotlight off of themselves!

Do you think they are in with the people who framed them for election scandal ? What would bring the total up to? 15-20 people alll out to just pick on people. We all will be waiting for the truth to come out. People like you are professional excuse makers some might call it . Look forward to hearing from you again the next time there is trouble .

Not judging but don't want the person responding to my 911 call abusing narcotics that is all. Don't think that's asking too much. Not judging in the least if you have a problem get help and clearly there's a problem.

Who's to say that the test proves abuse? Maybe there was an injury that required him to use the medication for pain? I'm not saying that he isn't abusing them but why would this problem be over looked for such a long time if there wasn't more to it???? Why say something now and not months ago??? If the prescription was old then it was old last year when the test were failed as well. The system lets things go on for a long time and the media hops on it like it's something new!!!! If there is a problem with chronic pain then yes he will always test positive, I just wonder why this issue has taken so long for it to come out! Why did 2 months go by without a test being positive then it just started to blow up?

It clearly stated part of his sentencing during home confinement starting in July 2013 was to participate in a substance abuse treatment program including testing, outpatient counseling etc . This was to be under the direct supervision of the Parole Officer.

If you are required as part of your sentence one would assume they had evidence or just cause to order this as part of the sentencing . One would think if you were going to take any type of drug especially a narcotic during this time you would advise your PO before you do anything or if an emergency situation inform them as soon as possible. I would think you would provide documentation from a physician considering the terms of your sentence.

The dates on which he tested positive for opiate use begin in August 2013 and end in March 2014. Perhaps the reason for it taking several months is that the PO was trying to work with him or giving him the opportunity to seek help. If anything the report shows they have been more than patient. Could some of the delay been some type of legal action taken by his attorney to dispute drug test results which may have caused delay in PO taking action sooner? Is that a possibility ? He refused to waive his right to hearing and take recommendation of PO to enter inpatient substance abuse program so now he will have the right to a hearing before Federal Judge then it will be decided.

The profession he is in he has access to narcotics. He is also driving ambulance and treating patients. Considering his history of drug testing and results over the last 8 months seems like PO is doing their job.

This has nothing at all to do with anything other than public safety. If positive drug testing is occurring an investigation needs to be comducted. It's about protecting people and calling in the necessary agencies to conduct investigation which is what is being done now.

Precisely why there are rules in place to protect all of us . I'm thankful they have people to protect the public.

Not sure of how it works but a full investigation is being conducted. Have complete faith and trust in the numerous local state and federal law agencies involved to take care of it.

Don't understand what you are trying to say ? If he had chronic pain why didn't he have prescriptions ? The report says there was only prescription for the diet pills that have been taken for last 5 or 6 years.

So what is the punishment ? With DEA involved not being able to respond to calls and having narcotics taken from facility . Is that all that's going to happen for now? Is this temporary or permanent? Are they able to make any calls or transport patients at all ? How does all of it work ?How many ambulances are allowed to run or can they not run any of them
