The only one of the group that will get jail time is Kent. The rest will get probation.

So you think he will receive the harshest punishment ? Why do you think he will but no one else ? What are you basing your decision on? Do you not think the others will get house arrest as Malone did.

Will be a long line of Criitenden County people anxious to report the very second they break the rules on any part of their sentence. Better stay put stay inside . Because we all will tell and there are a lot of us folks out here and will be watching .

Good ole Crittenden County...what would we do without people like you keeping a close watch on everyone?! Sounds like you have a miserable life if all you have to do is wait, watch, and hope they mess up.

All should have gotten jail then we wouldn't be waiting and watching because they are not so honest...

Well Interesting there a lot of people like us . See Interesting we are all tax payers which makes it all our business. This wasn't a dishonest business deal that went bad between these 4 people dishonest crooked people. This was an individual who ran for public office and committed fraud affecting an entire county and costing the county a whole lot of money. Since you are such a loyal friend why don't you offer to reimburse the county on their behalf because I doubt they have any intentions of making anything right other than what they are forced to do.. I think your question might need to be directed towards the people of this campaign I would have to say one would have to be extremely miserable to know the only way they ever stood a chance of winning was to cheat! I think that states clearly they knew in advance how the people in this county felt . With over 395 absentee ballots and they still only win by a few votes . They had to solicit money from friends family and take out a loan to win that to me defines misery. Now the definition of crazy would be the behavior post election knowing the only reason they won was because they clearly cheated but they went on as if they deserved to serve a community that didn't even vote to elect their candidate That behavior still continues to this day I think they are completely clueless on how the community actually feels. So yes we all will police their behavior we have every right to..

Apology

Who advised him that was an apology ? Malone apologized to the judge and prosecutor , what for? He should have apologized to the people of District 54 and the other candidates . He should have thanked the judge and prospector for doing their job . Another example of these people aren't sorry they have made no effort to apologize to the people they should . They are only sorry they got caught . He's exactly right he's sorry they all had to be there because that only meant one thing he's in trouble ! Hire a PR person you all need one !

No "Wow" you can't be serious. I am not "stuoid" nor am I stupid. I wouldn't call someone a fool and then use improper grammar or misspell words. Why don't you do me a favor? Before you try to make any valid arguments or comebacks work on your spelling and grammar.

I never said tax payers didn't have the right to know what happens in this case. Nor did I ever say I agreed with any of the actions made by anyone who was involved. However, my tax dollars also pay for someone to "police" their behavior so that I nor anyone else needs to. Are the citizens of Crittenden County going to start policing everyone's behavior who has a criminal record or just these select few?!

So what you are saying is that unless the police witness a felony being committed its not wrong. How do you think these felons were caught? Because law enforcement was watching over their campaign . They were caught because honest law abiding citizens reported it. While you obviously have been taught to justify and make excuses for those who break the law in order to get what they want other people feel far differently. So I guess if you witnessed someone committing a crime you would just ignore it and not help the victim because that's not your job. If a person witnesses these people violating what they have been ordered to do by a federal judge they have every right to report it. Where did you grow up? Better yet who is responsible for your morals and values, a former inmate ?

You should join their defense team . I hope you were able to be present for the sentencing . You should have asked to speak on their behalf. Yes your honor I understand these people compromised a right that the majority of Americans haver the highest respect for being that people gave their lives for all of us to have the right to vote. I also understand that they deprived an entire district of getting to fairly elect the candidate of their choice . But do you realize as I speak that people all over the world are guilty of typos and grammatical errors. I ask you why are these people not being held accountable like these men ?

These guys did something that has been going on here and all over the world for a hundred years.

As long as someone will sell their vote, someone will be buying, whether directly or indirectly.

All I gotta say is one of the guys in this contacted my buddy's probation officer years ago over an unpaid deal . I'm saying somebody will probably call on them. Just part of deal whining about ain't going to get you any where.

People rob banks people sell drugs people kill people that doesn't mean we all should go out and break the law because he or she did it. I agree with a small part of what you are saying but I do not believe it is common practice to deliver ballots to candidate or campaign manager and then they open it and destroy it if it was for their opponent. I also do not believe it is common practice to track the mailing of ballots via the clerks office. If so many people do it why aren't there other people being arrested? Not one of these people have ever worked for another campaign ? It seems they would turn in others to help their own case. I unlike you have faith in our judicial system and do not believe the federal or state government decided to single out this one candidate and their campaign . That conspiracy theory sounds like the thoughts of a person that is not mentally stable .

I think they determine your fine by your assets. It will be interesting to see if the others in this case are fined. Personally I feel if you can hire an entourage of attorneys you should be able to pay a large fine. It doesn't seem fair that you can afford to pay attorneys but yet you can't afford to pay equally monetarily by paying fine. I think paying one without the other just shows complete lack of remorse and a pattern of behavior that in the future there will be more of the same, repeated violations of breaking the law.
