1. Southland Racing/Casino and especially the Bourbon Street Steakhouse and Grill. Great eating!

2. One of the nicest Riverports along the Mississippi.

3. Perfect location for large trucking companies because of the access to the two major interstates.

4. Excellent access to rail service.

5. One of the nicest high school music centers I've ever seen.

6. The high school football team is a factor in state championships every year.

7. Affordable housing in decent neighborhoods.

8. Some of the lowest utility rates in the State of Arkansas.

9. Multiple large corporations locating due to the above mentioned rail and interstate access and lower per foot cost of space.(Hino, Bosch, Awesome etc.)

10. One of the lowest retail tax rates in the State of Arkansas.

11. Probably the most beautiful Community College in the country.

Oh wait, you said one thing. I guess I'd better quit...

Seriously, If someone isnt happy with where they live, just leave, find somewhere else that makes you happy.

Life is to short to be so miserable as to come on here and just complain..

True. There are some great things about this area but some things need to be said and feelings will get hurt. One reason Toyota didn't choose us is because the lazy, unreliable work force. We have a drug and gang problem that needs to be dealt with and the majority of that problem is the black community. The east part of WM is a disaster. Poverty, laziness, out of control breeding. Welfare has become a way of life around here. I've never in my life ever heard one person say they left this area because of "all those damn white people!". Don't get me wrong, we have plenty of white trash rednecks as well. Clean up the city, clear out the gangs and drugs, set high standards and hold to them.

I love how simple you make it sound. Just get rid of the drugs and gangs.

So tell us Einstein how you would accomplish that with a small police force with a small city budget facing the thugs that a huge city like Memphis inflicts on us.
