I'm from southern IL and I'm going to be driving right through that area. I was curious if it is a safe area to be in alone too. I know N. Little Rock is kinda scary. Thanks for any info.

it's not there anymore. I used to ride my bike there as a kid. It was essentially two big dirt mounds with bike trails on them and bike trails through the woods. They cut all of the woods and as far as I kno, kids dnt play back there anymore....really not much to see

The actual crime scene was where the pipe crossed the ditch...it was directly behind where the blue beacon truck wash used to be, now it's just an old parking lot that is grown up in weeds. It's right next to the comfort inn, right off of the interstate.

So it's a deal where I could just drive by it and not have to get out. Stop and rubberneck lol and go on. I'm a true crime buff. I Knew a guy who killed his whole family in 85 up in IL. From same town and all. I knew all of the parties in the case too. Just like you guys prob knew those people there in west memphis. Thanks a bunch. I may just pull off and check it out from the car.

No the pipe is where they found the bikes. The bodies were down the stream. It never was robinhood hills it was just robinhood.. some dumb wm3 supporters messed the naame up. Its not scary. And it has all been cleared. Only a patch of trees left where the bodies were at. Its a crack town you may get robbed. So keep your yankee arse away and read their bs on their own website. Dont need any of you illiterate weak minded people around

Huh?? I'm from southern IL. I live in TX. How does that make me a yankee. Also, I am not a supporter of wm3. Thanks for the advice on the part about maybe getting robbed. That's how I felt when I went thru N. Little Rock last time. I'm not looking for the body site or anything like that. I just wanted to know if it was safe to drive by there and just check it out. I don't read their bs. I only found out about this case recently. I watched an hbo thing on it. I did my own research and came to my own southern ass opinion.

Most are yankees. Not much there at all it is off the service road. You will see a grown up parking lot. If you pull in look to the left. You will see a few trees. Thatis where bodies were found.not much to look at. Used to be a fun place as a kid to hang out and ride bikes and 3 wheelers. Now the neighborhood is all ran down section 8 and crackheads.

Google 7th street and you can go to street veiw and veiw it as well

The actualy "woods" were cleared years ago. The ditch is still there and the manhole is still there but it's not in the same form as it use to be. The pipeline that was mentioned was in that area too. All kinds of kids played in that area. From the interstate it just looks like a cleared area with tall grass/ weeds. You would have to be on the service road or park in a near by lot. Honestly, these days, it's usually not questioned as to why someone would be out there but it definitely isn't an area that is considered "good". The East Side of West Memphis is the rougher side of town. Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean that every single street on that side. Not being from here, I don't suggest you take your time. That IS high is volume crime area. As recommended above, I would look it up on Google Earth and view it that way. There are way too many things that can happen. I've seen your posts in previous threads and I understand your curiosity, but jeopardizing your safety isn't worth it :) If it weren't for not being able to communicate privately, I would offer to fill you in on the questions you have. I'm not pro nor anti WM3 so I can easily say I am not biased.

Thank you for the advise. I will do it that way. Last thing I need is to get robbed. And you are right, safety is most important. Yeah, I do have lots of questions. That's how I found these blog sights. I have never been a blogger---it's kinda fun :) I've researched til I'm blue in the face. Thanks again

I just finished looking at it. If I looked correctly, there was a trucking co. by it and an empty lot for lease and at corner at interstate there is a gas station. I looked on google maps like you guys suggested. Really not much to see. Just a ditch pretty much. I thought maybe there would be a memorial or something there with all the attention the case got.

No, like I said, it's all been cleared and really to an extent, if you don't know exactly what you are looking for, you probably won't just stumble on "THE" area. So no, not much to see. Yes it definitely caught the attention of millions, but no memorial. Too many bad memories for so many people.

I will go out there this weekend and take pics. I moved away awhile ago. If you want the pics list email address. Last time I played out there we saw Damien and Jason crossing the pipe as we left. And that was the end of April in 93. Sort of funny to see someone there that never visited the place. I want to say that Damien got in a fight with a Guy named David dude Nolan and got his but tore up pretty good right before the murders. And when they stole bikes William Jones Damien echols Jason Ronnie Bradshaw they would hide them there and strip parts.

The area is not that bad!!!! People just want to make it sound that way..... It is not as nice as it was back then but no where like people are trying to make it out to be.... the woods are gone and you would miss it if you did not know where to look!! I would be glad to talk privately too cause I lived around the corner from there at the time.

That area is terrible. Shooting robberies drugs assaults prostitution sexual assaults. What is not bad about that? I went by there yesterday but they were mowing and cut the trees down also. You can still see the hills and where trails were.
