Bojangles:

I really only have the testimony of Marty Kelly at both trials and posts from both supporters and nons. The consensus seems to be that he either came on foot on a well traveled street, therefore would have been seen, or thru a ditch and a field, and the ditch was 5' and would have been hard for him to navigate in his condition. Condition being drunk and having a cast on his arm. Also, that a lone perp could not have committed the crime. It was stated that there was another ditch that transients were known to frequent, but not connected to crime scene. Timescale would fit though, as he stumbled in apx 9:30 pm. Police maintain that they were looking for missing children at that point, not murdered children.

The defense called Kelly for both trials and presented him as an alternate suspect, but evidently the jury decided he was not a viable suspect.

No excuse for losing that evidence though.

Would they be welcomed back? Hell they were not welcome in the first place, look at what the welcome wagon got them.

It was like the Salem Witch trials. They did not look right, so they were persicuted.

Thank god I do not have any neighbors. Make that nosey Christian neighbors, they are the worst.

If there was such a rush to judgement to persecute these 3, why did it take WMPD a month to arrest them? Why were Echols and Baldwin hiding under a bed when they had spoken to police in the past? Why dud balsamic mother accuse her own husband of turning in her son? Why was Pam echols trying to convince witnesses of the timeline of visit and that her son "didn't kill those kids"? Why did miskellys father state that -- "Jessie may have been there, but he didnt kill those kids"? Why do none have alibis? I can see if 1 alibi were in question. Maybe even 2. But all three?

You know Damien himself claimed to be homicidal and schizophrenic, right?

I wouldn't welcome them any place but a cell. Well, maybe Jessie. I truly believe he is remorseful and I believe he will not reoffend. And I'm still waiting for him to confess yet again.

I may have gotten carried away and became as childish as I accused you of being. We were both wrong. I apologize. Accept it or not.

And that's all I will say on the matter.

DF Gremlin:

I know this probably belongs on another thread, but as Bojangles was brought up, I thought I'd toss this out.

As you are from the area, what has been rumour mill regarding this guy? There are a few things that really bother me. One being that people hear gunshots, in his confession, Jessie claims Damien was in possession if a gun (briefcase), a Negro hair was found in the body bag transporting one of the victims, and a black man bleeding at the restaurant.

I hadn't heard about the gunshots being heard before, and I never put much thought into the gun in the briefcase, because to my knowledge, no gun or briefcase were ever found. Is that true? Was there a report of gunshots?

The only explanation I have seen for this has been conjecture of a non supporter -- who claimed that it's possible that Bojangles stumbled across the crime in progress and was shot fleeing the scene. That's a stretch, IMO, because I think he would have come forward.

Others say that the Negro hair was also transferred evidence and most likely not related to the scene. Possible, but a helluva coincidence. And I wonder why I haven't really heard much from supporters on this, because if true, it bolsters their case a bit.

The gun thing bothers me. Wish Abby would come back so I could get a supporters view on this.

I would not want Terry Hobbs or Mark Byers living next door tho.
Well most definetly NOT Terry Hobbs, he is a pedophile for sure and probably a child killer. As for JMB, well,he cracks me up and amuses the shit out of me so I wouldnt mind him living down the street from him....In fact, I would love to chop it up with JMB but contrary to popular belief, he is NOT a stupid man.....actually the opposite. Just eccentric (like myself) so I dont judge him on that. JMB is a liar though which I have an issue with. However, being a "liar" doesnt disqualify you as being a neighbor.

That Hobbs though....oh man......now he's trouble!

Well, I'm sorry if I misspoke ARN, but it was just strange how suddenly LLL (also from the area) was answering with insults.
And as for not answering the question, Actually I did..
The State does believe in their guilt. The State Supreme Court was set in September to give the WM3 a new trial.
But when you have witnesses die, and are up against a MILLION DOLLAR defense, why not take the easy win??
Why waste the tax dollars of the people of this state when the WM3 so readily accepted pleading guilty to a count of 1st degree murder??
It only takes ONE moron on the jury to buy into the "facts" that the Defense team would put out, and you have a hung jury.
And I'd say there are more than a few morons out there considering how many millions of dollars the WM3 group have raised.
So, why put yourself and the state through that??
Is that a good enough answer for you? because as I said.. It can easily be turned back around to your logic as well..
Why not fight the fight to clear your name? Especially when you've got the money, the support, Dream Defense team, expert witnesses, DNA analysis, jury misconduct, ALL these factors that HELP your case, WHY enter a Guilty Plea in the 11th hour??
If you have the guy on the ropes, You dont left him off.. Unless.. there's something out there that the supporters dont know about.. and you're afraid that your celebrity support and money will dry up.. You know that you will be found guilty AGAIN, and you'll lose all the ground you've gained..
I am quite sure the reason the accepted the alford plea was because damien was on death row and could have died in prison before a new trial proved them innocent......that at least to me seems a good enough reason to save his life??? And as for the state from what I understand the offered this plea because they knew they could NOT prove these men guilty in a new trial and didn't want that expense or to have to pay out compensation for 18 years of wrongful imprisonment!

I don't know if they did it or not. I wouldn't want Damien to live next to me unless he was properly medicated. Anyone that says they would should read this. Damien is severely mentally ill. PLEASE READ THIS. They left quite a bit out in those documentaries.

You got that right, Mindy.

Anyone that believed this wad some huge conspiracy has problems of their own. Police, detectives, expert and other witnesses, 2 separate juries, doctors, parents, polygraph examiners, jail guards, etc all had to be in on this vast conspiracy to convict 3 teenagers. So which is it? Are these a bunch of Bible thumping rednecks who couldn't solve a puzzle or are they genius enough to railroad innocent "kids"
