I have had teeth removed in the past ,but due to changes in my ins I had to find a new dentist. Apprehensive patient was it. Dr Patel is my dentist and I really like her . But she said I needed a tooth removed and scheduled it with Dr Maron.
Let me say my husband had an implant done and he said the guys bedside manner sucks but he did a good job. Since I don't care about manner but wanted it done right I went.
OMG was that a mistake.
I waited 1hour for the Dr.
When he came in he asked if I was Julie, I said no.
He walked over and basically stabbed me with a needle three times went out in the hall and started to yell at the staff.
When he came back in 15 mins later his asst followed him and asked him if he was ok. His reply was that he was numb.
I started to get really scared.
He started to pull the tooth and half way thru said he didn't have the right things, and left. He came back with another instrument and pulled out the tooth. It was excruciating but thankfully the second part was quick.
He said your done and left.
I started to get up and the asst came back in said to wait and shoved some gauze in my mouth.
I was pretty shaken at that point but asked the desk if I needed any prescriptions she said to wait.
I sat and waited till Dr had time to write the script . When he came out he gave me the antibiotic script and I told him I was allergic to condones . He said Motrin and walked away.
As I left I realized no one tells you any thing about what to do after .
They give you a bag with instructions and gauze.
That was the biggest cattle call butcher shop I have ever seen.
I am looking for a dentist who actually gives a crap, if anyone has any recommendations in the Monmouth county area.

Dr. Andrew Moron is HORRIBLE! It was the worst experience I ever had at a dental office. He walked in and never introduced him self, never even looked at me, all he said was "tooth extraction right?" He then took a huge needle, stabbed my gums with it, and left the room.
Upon his coming back, I expressed how disappointed I was with him. I come to the Apprehensive Patient due to a fear of needles and being jabbed in the mouth. Boy did he confirm my worst nightmare.
He extracted my tooth so roughly, I thought I was going to leave his room with a mouth full of chipped teeth. He was so ill mannered, and uncaring, I'm in disbelief a place called Apprehensive Patient would hire such a ruthless person.
He never did apologize or get around to introducing himself. I wept through the entire process, mostly because at that point I had lost all trust in him and his abilities, but it was already too late to turn back.
I had same exact experience. Dentist needs to be reviewed by Dental Board.

I wish i read these reviews before i was a victim of this THING called an oral surgeon.. I wont even bring up his disgusting attitude.. He is the most UNPROFESSIONAL doctor i have ever met. He was on the phone fighting with someone , had the wrong chart & twice almost took out the wrong teeth. Never looked at one xray , never introduced himself, literally stabbed me in the mouth.. The list goes on & on..stay away from him. I only wish i had that advice. Im fialing a complaint against him with the state. If anyone else wants to back me please let me know. This animal should not be practicing medicine

Dr. Andrew Maron is the worst oral surgeon I have ever been to. On January 7th, 2015 I had my last wisdom tooth taken out by Dr. Maron. He came into the room while I was in the chair and asked me "what tooth are we pulling?" I told him my wisdom tooth.(Like really aren't you the dentist) He numbed me up. Then after he leaves and come back he pulls out his scalpel to open up my gum and when he was digging to get my tooth out, hes being a total savage pulling, tugging, digging and drilling like if he was working on a damn car. OMG I thought my jaw was going to break. Then after he put the stitches in his phone rings and hes gone. I didn't even get to talk to him not once. It was the worst experience have ever had with a dentist/oral surgeon. And Now it's February 2nd, 2015 and my bottom lip and chin is still numb. I call the dentist office and all they keep telling me is that the nerve most likely was aggravated through the procedure and is still swollen. I'm so scared that I won't ever get feeling back...I will never recommend him to anyone.

At least he almost pulled the wrong tooth for you. He DID pull the wrong tooth for me :-(. Now I'm down a tooth and will not do an implant.

This guy is rude, disrespectful, and treats women like dirt. I wouldn't trust him, let alone touch a tooth in my mouth.

I just had my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Maron today. It was fast like lightning. DONE..
I believe the negativity you guys may have experienced is due to the dissonance between the expectation of a chatty-mommy-like doctor, and seeing a get-it-done doctor for the first time.
Dr. Maron is the latter.
He gets the job done. Then you're off.
Do not expect any hand-holding/hugs/kisses/lolli pop..
Dr. Maron is excellent where it matters most, Surgical Performance.

This Dentist is now here in our area in Southern NJ, I wish I research on himfirst before I trusted him pulled my molar tooth out. He tried to yank my tooth right after he injected the anesthesia, normally the surgeon asks first if we can still feel the tool or not but him, he just didn't care, he tried to pull it out right away until I screamed and said it still hurts, instead of him waiting for the anesthesia to kick in he injected me again with anesthesia and tried to pull it out again right away then I screamed again so hard, then he walked out the room with his assistant and waited for couple minutes. He came in the room after a couple minutes and just said that I will feel a lot of pressure and then pulled it out, that I didn't feel at all because anesthesia kicked in. A lot of comments here are so true that he doesn't care about his patient. I called the dental office the next day and told them that I dont want to see him again and to put it on my families chart. I did have my tooth pulled on this office last year but never had this type of experience at all.

Dr. Andrew Maron at the Apprehensive Patient in Eatontown is a monster and a sadist. He is like the dentist straight out of Little Shop of Horrors. I took my 10 year old son today to have an extraction. He was visibly upset and nervous, even crying before we got into the room. Dr. Maron came in and did not even acknowledge our presence, proceeded to ask me which tooth he was supposed to extract, as if I was supposed to know, and then jammed the needle into my terrified son's mouth as tears streamed down his face. When I jumped out of my chair and asked him what was wrong with him, he needed to have a little bedside manner, his response was, "What, every kid cries when they get the needle." He even seemed to enjoy delivering the painful injections. Every other time we have been there and my son has had to be numbed, his usual Dr. is very sweet, assuring and gentle when she delivers the needle. He never even felt it before, now he is traumatized and a very cooperative, easy going kid at he dentist is terrified to go back. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN DO NOT LET THIS DOCTOR TOUCH THEM! I will be leaving this practice, despite how happy I have been with the other dentists. A practice that lets a Dr. get away with this kind of treatment (of children especially) is not to be trusted. Now that I am reading his reviews, it seems this behavior is the norm for this doctor. This is simply unacceptable and the Apprehensive Patient and every other Poller Dental group who employs this sadist should be ashamed of themselves.

I really really wish I read these reviews before going to this surgeon! I went to another site initially but they were not taking walk-ins so they recommended the next closest site available taking walk-ins! My wisdom tooth needed to be removed ASAP so I took the chance... Traveled 45 mins to the next site! I waited for almost 3 hours to be seen! When I entered the room I was greeted by a surgical tech... She was pretty friendly! DR. Maron then enters the room shortly after... Asking which tooth are we taking out! When I proceed to tell him he continuously cuts me off and tells me I should just take out all 4 wisdom teeth and get it over with! Although I came to extract the one wisdom tooth that was giving me massive pain he kept pressuring to take out another! Although o said I didn't want to he proceeds to take out two wisdom teeth! He just came in and started selling and injecting my gums and basically trying to break the teeth out of my mouth in a very rough manner! There was another young lady in scrubs just standing and watching, when the tech asked him "who's that?" He replied my girlfriend! I was completely lost as to why his girlfriend was present! All I kept hearing the entire time was cracking and breaking inside my mouth, I honestly thought he broke or damaged my teeth around the area that he was working on that's how rough he was handling my mouth! To me I was just a walking dollar sign and if he could take out more teeth just because, he surely would have! This was definitely the worst experience ever! I didn't even receive home care instructions,.. So I would know exactly what to do when I get home! I was never introduced in the beginning... I basically found out this doctor's name when I went to fill my prescriptions! My whole face is swollen like a balloon! I had to actually go on google to find out what steps exactly I had to take after the extraction! I feel like my mouth was butchered... My face is numb and I can barely open my mouth to even drink water to take my meds with! Something told me to google this man... And I'm totally not surprised at all! Honestly I wish I would have just waited a few days Til the site near my house had an opening! I'm in sooooo much pain... and with a toddler at home this is rather difficult! I saw grown men I mean at least 30 walking out that office crying! I really think he doesn't introduce himself of give any name for that matter because he already had a bad rep! I would never recommend this guy to a soul! 😩🙏 😔😪

Like someone else pointed out, I don't understand how this office hasn't been reported to the state board yet. The manager at the Eatontown location, named PATTY, is a lazy inconsiderate B**CH, and does not attend to patients or their needs. It's like if you ask her a question (she is the manager right?), you're bothering her precious time. How did you become a manager with a demeanor like that, and why would a legitimate practice want a bunch of rude people representing their office? This is the dentist, it's already nerve wrecking to go to one (hence the name), if you can't deliver at least satisfactory costumer service skills, then go work somewhere else! The only person that worked there that was pleasant and knew what she was doing, was the dental hygienist (probably as to why she was always busy and booked with appts). A lot of the time, when you go (just for a checkup), you're sitting in the back room for 20 minutes before a nurse sees you, and then additional 20 or more before the dentist comes to check you out. Two thumbs down!!

We need to report this doctor and the offices he practice out from. I had a similar incident happened to me. Awful, unprofessional experience ever.
