Yes she was sentenced for 40 years along with her brother and dad for murray burrs i am glad cause that was awfull what they did to him he was a very good friend of mine I seen him day before he was supost to have surgery on that monday. he was the nicest and sweetiest guy you would ever meet the kids at the elm school calledd him Mr tall man he just loved that.

[Facts on Megan Winfrey]

She was found guilty of both capital murder and conspiracy to commit capital murder. She was sentenced to life for the capital murder and 45 years for the conspiracy to commit capital murder. She was 20 years old at the time of trial.
Richard, her brother has not gone to trial. Their dad, Richard, Sr., received 75 years in prison.

This is very hard for me to talk about. I just found out about this site today. I am Megan's mother. Look real close at the 3 cases and their inconsitancies. People convicted my children without knowing the case. I am brutally honest about this. Richie was not guilty, I've always known this. He was with me the night of the murder, but nobody would listen. How dare you convict people without just cause? Where is the evidence? Look in the News Times idiots!

The Winfrey's are all trash & I believe whole heartedly they were involved. This isn't the first time that bunch has done something evil, at least this time they got caught. Thank God!

I agree with bgb. There has been other deaths, and the winfreys were involved and never anything done about it. they are evil people and i am glad they finally are getting what goes around comes around. they are all looking for a meal ticket, then the guy disappears.

i felt like my heart was broke when some one in my family died, and i watched my parents turn gray before my eyes in a three day period. the winfreys have caused a lot of pain and i am glad they are begining to pay. i have waited a long time

Megan, Richard, and Richard Jr. have never been involved in ay murders. How do you think I feel? I went gray also, knowing that the real murders got by with this. There is physical evidence that did not match, and the dog scent was the only evidence they hd on them, but guess what? Keith Pickett has been discreated for staging the scent lineup. He is ni longer working as a specialist. not your business if i am related or not...look at the facts. like i said before there is no d.n.a or any other physical evidence connecting any of the Winfrey's to this crime...once again...THERE ARE NO WINNERS IN THIS CASE...THE BURR FAMILY LOST A FAMILY MEMBER AND THE WINFREY FAMILY HAS ALSO LOST FAMILY MEMBERS TO SOMETHING THEY DIDN'T DO!!!!
