WE is so s l o w up heaire dat we uns is awillin 2 bet dayer acookin FISH at dat hotel. clause we uns can smell someum Fishy from yous poor effort in trying to drum up bidness by puttin down Charlie Browns.

To WalleyO, BikerBoy and MAK, do you really think you fooled anyone? Did you 3 go to night school during a Blackout? We sure hope you folks at the West Leyden Hotel didn't pay these Three Stooges for their attempts at advertising. If you did, you can just write that 75 cents off as a total loss. And what was the need to "clean it up quite a bit" anyway? Makes you wonder, doesn't it? Try bona fide advertising the next time and leave Curly and his two friends out of it. More than likely you're not as bad as you have made yourself out to be. We might try you for dinner some night. But we still like Charlie Browns too... Ray from Port Leyden

To "say what", do you know the Real Ray Jordan ???
If you did, you would know for sure that he is not afraid to sign his name to "HIS" opinion. He does Not hide behind "Cute" little names the way most do on this site. He cares, and is tired and fed up with living in a Town and County where WE are the BUTT of many Jokes. Such as "Port Leyden Sidin" and blue tarps as "Lewis county Roofin". A few Folks up here NEED to get off their dead-asses and start to show a little more PRIDE and RESPECT in their Community and their APPEARANCE. Stop throwing your trash out of your car window, drive like you are NOT really TRYING to kill your neighbor's kids, and move getting your teeth fixed a little higher up on your priority list. If you really enjoy living in a pig sty, move to the county dump. AND hell no , I am not going to move, I spent almost a year of my life in Vietnam fighting for the "Rights" that WE ALL enjoy. If what I have to say upsets you, YOU are the "ONE" I am talking about.

Whatever happened to the previous owners, John and Laura Stephenson? It seems like they were doing well and one day they were gone.

John and Laura weren't married, and they split up. Dave Thomas is the chief cook and bottle washer now. Seems to be doing okay. They have specials on different night of the week.

Those were some good times...park my rig,hop in my truck or on my sled and ride the 200ft to the bar hehe.On the other hand Dave's put alot of time and effort into the joint, I think he's a good cook. They have excellent food.

It would be nice if they moved the video games and put the tables back in the bar, it was a lot more homey when they first opened up. I also heard they are serving breakfast now, at a reasonable price.

What's up with the WL Hotel? Are they open or not? I see they have it for sale. But most of the time it looks closed when I drive by.

Went by there this morning and there most definately is a real estate FOR SALE sign on the place. Too bad - they made a nice effort to restore it to its old grandeur but with to economy today I'm surprised they were able to last this long. Sad to see this happen because it is a true West Leyden landmark with a very colorful history to say the least.

Sorry to say the board of health closed him because since he opend the resturant they gave him till Nov 08 to install a 100000.00 septic system or close.. this is all thanks to the locals in the area not liking him because he took their customers away for better food! he is open weekends thats it. so he said Oh well guess they won. so if anyone buys it, thet will get the same treatment from the locals!
