regarding health insurance for county employees; it just went up Dec first(new premium cost) and then Jan. 1st, it goes up 3% and my raise was 5%; my union dues are also going up, my life insurance is increasing also, and so is my disability(county employees do not get NYS disability, they have to pay for it if they want it)Yes, I am glad to have a job at the county level. I just wish the legislators had a clue. One legislator at the open meeting kept rolling his eyes when people were speaking. Glad he's not my legislator. too bad TJ Fayle and Mr. Krug wouldn't come back; we need people who understand what is going on. To cut 7 positions from DSS before a medicaid recertification program has even been piloted shows very poor lack of judgement of the human service committee. I do not know all the answers to county concerns but I do know that cutting services for the people who live here 12 months a year is not the way to go. Let's just keep the out of county trail coordinator here with his county car/gas.

And that my friend is a conflict of interest and you can't tell me even though he didn't vote on the positions, he didn't influence other legislatures. He is the owner of Montague Inn,,,,motel, restaurant and probably gas sales. That's where his interest is.. Making more money for himself. Shame on these so called county REPRESENTATIVES.....

And these people are allowed to make decisions reguarding our county.

I would like to see how these 2 positions are not costing the county money. They want to keep these 2 losing money positions and get rid of departments that help keep people healthy physically and people cope mentally with these trying times. I would like to see how much money these 2 positions have made for the County.

Note to legislators: LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING INSTEAD OF WORKING ON YOUR OWN PERSONAL AGENDA.

And you can bet that Rick Lucas even though he didn't vote, he had the rest of the legislators ears on this matter. Him and Brother-In-Law Jack have ran this county into the ground with there personal agendas.

I stopped at the Croghan Nice and Easy today to order a couple of pizza's. There were 3 State Police vehicles and 1 Sheriffs car there running. Did some errands, went back 30-45 mins later to pick up the pizzas and these vehicles were still there running while they were sitting inside having coffee.

It would be nice if the heads of these departments would tell there officers when you get out of the car to shut it off. I guess if you are not paying for your gas and the tax payers do it makes a bid difference.

Another instance where the county leg. could save money by enforcing something like this.

I see some of the officers in our town take the police car out of town to his house to take care of family maters. Shouldn't this be done with his own personal transportation? Also, they most always keep the police car running while they visit.

why did sheriff tabalt give himself a raise? and why was he give 25K for 911 services. nothing has changed they are not adding anything,it the same system it was when it started over 10 years ago, no new staff or anything, so what is the extra money for, and why did they give him 15K for the jail, there are 6 empty jail cells not used for over 3 years because the locks are broken, why are they not insisting that he fix the locks, that is over 700 dollars per day in income thrown away, not to mention the money we are paying to have our inmates borded in another county. i think it is a bunch of good ole boys scratching each others wallets.
