Lewis County can't afford to let any of its' personnel go!! They work with enough of a skelton crew in most agencys here. I hear the biggest one they plan on closing is the Drug Program. Seriously, this county absolutely NEEDS to keep this agency up and working. It does truly benefit so many in the county. What else might they close?

Don't worry. They'll get ahold of all the drugs they want without a county-sponsored program.

Ha ha,:( but it isn't funny at all. I was hoping for a serious 'conversation' on this subject. I know the agency does help so very many people. I am concerned that they will turn back to their old ways without help and intervention. There is a meeting tonight (11/25)in Lowvillee HS auditorium at 5pm to speak about ALL concerns of the budget cuts. I plan to be there.

Yeah, yeah. You wanna keep your job, or your pet program. So does every other county employee. I agree that for YOU, it's serious business. For us taxpayers, it's not necessarily so.

Sorry there YANKEE, it should be serious business for you taxpayers (& I am one too). Because when one of them has to rob you or your home so they can get a fix or drives and hurts or kills someone else - then it is ALL our business. And just for the record - I am not a county employee and do not have a job in this field. I've just lived long enough and seen enough to know what the end result will be if the alcohol / drug programs are shut down.

I agree with the 2nd amendment but that still won't change much. People will still get hurt.

They sure screwed up that courthouse deal, now its costing more then if they hadn`t listened to the judge and would have had a mind of their own and built a new one up by the jail. And now they want to cut jobs to pay for their mistakes. make your calendar next election day we need change, just good men be it republican or democrat. Just not all the same party.
