Carlsbad scholar sought by top universities

Last week she toured Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. Soon she'll make a similar trip to Princeton, N.J., to check out its namesake university.

I wish I had had parents like hers that were smart and helped me. All mine wanted to do is have kid after kid and milk whale fare sytem. They just wanted to drink and ride there harley's and smoke the other stuff. Not even married.
Sorry just thinking what if I guess.
But working and wanting to change not like them.

Keep working at it and remember the saying "the harder I work, the luckier I get". I heard one of the top women's basketball coaches (also a woman)talking about how the most driven and best women atheletes were women that came from single family homes. She said they worked harder and did better because they grew up having to do things for themselves and not expecting others to do it for them. It is great to have parents that help, but when you get lemons, sometimes you can make great lemonade!!
