Northwestern Ave - dangerous construction

Purdue's Mackey Arena construction has gone from inconvenient to dangerous. Twice in the past two weeks, I've had construction equipment pull out in front of me in the (one lane) construction zone, causing me to swerve into oncoming lanes to avoid getting crushed. Aren't they required to have flaggers when they pull equipment--not trucks, cranes, etc.--out into the street, in morning rush hour traffic?
Also, watch for stopped vehicles in the lanes that are SUPPOSED to be open. Last week, a semi was parked in the west lane, just south of where Northwestern goes back to two lanes, by Lambert, no flashers (just a turn signal on), no flagger, unloading. Come on! They have the WHOLE BLOCK for construction vehicles and delivery trucks have to park in the street?!
Someone needs to clamp down on the construction companies before someone gets hurt, or worse, due to their carelessness.
