I donate every time I write a check for my kids to play. These criminals are going to raise the fees again from 150 bucks. While the economy sucks and prices are stagnant or dropping every where, they have the balls to raise prices and take more. It is one thing when someone steals some excess, but another when they blatantly raise fees, don't spend it, and use it for themselves. AND the School Board in West Islip is just as bad. They are so arrogant that they have a known affiliation with the WILL board. They back that board like THEY were the ones under investigation.
All a bunch of selfish scamsters! I heard they are raising registration to 185 bucks! Free taxpayer-funded fields never cost so much!

We are so glad Jimmy kept his embarrassing presidential title, it makes such a great story. And Kathy 2nd Vice President makes sense since neither vice president has a clue. I guess one handles complaints and the other tries to run the league. Glad Gerry gets a title of Immediate Past President (from like 6 years ago), I mean someone has to answer for the mess that was left. And Steve finally gets recognized for his fake audit with the treasurer job, way to go! Does his bank approve? Maybe Marc can show you what the hell happened now. And welcome their new cover-up boy Kevin taking over AAA. We'll miss Chris H. but we love hearing him talk about all the bad crap that was going on in this league and the financials. You'd think Gerry and Jimmy would have kept him quiet.

I would like to send out congrats to all this year's winners. You will make our job very easy.

Jim Alcus - Deep, Deeper, Gone
Richard Hujik - Can I wipe it too Jim?
Kathie Fix - I need more
Jim Celano - See no evil, hear no evil
Steve Sugumele - Now I can pretend to audit my own books, never realized there was so much in the pot. Good thing I already work for a bank so they will never figure it out.
Gerry Pallotta - Please keep me on with any title. I don't want someone else answering for me.
Stephen Samson - I'm so happy to be wanted.
Marc Forte - Whew, got rid of that Treasurer title. Why did Jim say I have to stay on board?
Donna Spero - I made it, thanks Joe.
Joe Spero - Now it's all in the family.
Kevin Steinhauser - What happened?
John Coffey - One place they haven't kicked me out of yet.
Kevin Battaglini - Don't worry Larosa, I'll do what I can.
Dan O'Neill - Unlimited Equipment.
Mike Montiglio - Can't touch me.
Brian O'Neill - Family equipment biz

I read South Bay Neighbor today. Who the hell stole all that money? Dude, they need to stop wasting time on who gets the gold team and start doing some DNA testing. When they get the fat f*&$ who stole the kid's money they should hang his ass from the field 2 backstop and burn his clothes in the shack!!!

Your life must be in a sad state to focus on this. Especially when it's wrong information. Had you checked the Little League Rule book (which I'm sure you must have, since you seem to be an expert on the subject), you would see that what you have printed above couldn't possibly be true. Check the facts Jackass.

There should be a new post started for the School Budget including any thoughts on the new Superintendant and his decision to form a community group for input into the school budget process.

Finally, some people who actually show concern for our schools! I thought that the focus group the superintendent is forming is not for the budget process, but for the future of the school system in general (think redistricting for effeciency and maybe closing a school like they did in Lindenhurst) As far as the budget is concerned, if you have read the Newsday articles about the state budget, then it is clear that the governor is going to cut our state aide, as well as put in a tax cap. Say goodbye to any local governance or voice we may have had in our schools. Our kids are going to pay for the disater in the economy. Budget? What Budget? The only thing left will be to raise class sizes, fire teachers (the youngest ones with the least seniority) and administrators to save money. After that... sports? Music? The Politicians in Albany should be ashamed.

You are truly ignorant. I don't mean to name call, but seriously can you read? The difference between the proposed budget and the contingency budget is $3.62/month. So when you vote it down, in your very rightous way, you will literally pay $3.26 less per month and there will be no clubs, no sports except Varsity and alot of other things our children enjoy doing. Now maybe it doesn't matter to you, but it matters to me, so for an additional $3.62/month I vote for the budget.
You lying sack of doo. My taxes are $400 higher than last year and my assessed value is only $41,000. And it is ALL RELATED TO THE SCHOOL TAX INCREASE!!! That is over $30/month!!! See above how this SCHOOL BOARD LIES!!!

I believe you have taken the above out of context. 3.62 was the differnce you would pay between the adopted budget and the contingency budget. it doesnt state what the adopted increase that did pass last year was. im not sure of that number. However...public education is not "free education" someone pays for it. who do u think should?

As the most expensive sports league in West Islip, will the Little League now put its financials on its website?

Why wouldn't they?

I don't get it:(
