Gillibrand received more votes in each county of the New NY 23rd Congressional District than the President, and had more votes in each county than opponent Wendy Long, except Allegany. This is very surprising seeing how Republican they district is.

I have recently started a blog, http://newny23rd.com which discusses the politics, economics and events in the Congressional District. I have a posting discussing Gillibrand. In your opinion, why is Gillibrand so popular? Inquiring mind wants to know.

All the things you list are paid for by taxpayers. Schools are failing, roads are in rotten shape and the post office is billions in the red. How is that government spending working for you???

Roads could have been built with private money, but Uncle Sam LOVES to collect taxes and tolls, using the $$ for other things and then demanding more $$ when the roads fall apart. Are you seeing any kind of a pattern here, Dum-Dum ??
