Employee of La Grange 15 years.

About time La Grange Inn Shuts the doors that place is a fire trap and death trap.

I seen rats as big as cats in that Kitchen, and roaches popping out the ovens when they are turned on.

Forget the bed bug problem they recently had.

Now where is Larosa gonna get Phil Nolan to do whatever she wants with the taxpayer's money including getting her and Jim jobs?

Those scam artist bastards should rot in hell after the crap they have done to this community. Let's board up the La Grange, and burn it to the ground. Then we can put up Walgreen's so I can get some good useful stuff on sale. Nolan can take the undeserving credit for it and Larosa and Jim can hang out somewhere in Amityville or Copiague with the trash they are.

You have no idea what you are blathering on about. Tom Barraga and the West Islip Association prevented the walgreens from coming you idiot, and they did so because 500 residents came out to protest it. It does seem though that the time of a catering hall at the end of Higbie lane has come to an end. I hope they find a better use of the building, or it surely will be torn down, and that would be a shame.

WOW! Whoever you are, you are certainly misinformed and misguided in your attack of these three individuals. I'm pretty sure, your friend Tom Barraga lead the charge to keep the LaGrange exactly where it is. It is unfortunate that they have closed the doors. I certainly would rather look at the LaGrange than a Walgreens on that corner. With that said, how you can make the connection of Ms. LaRosa or Mr. Alcus being responsible for the current situation is astounding. Next you'll be blaming them for the weather.

"Did ya hear"? "It's going to snow again!".........."mu st be Annmarie LaRosa and Jim Alcus behind it". "and I betcha Phil Nolan arranged for it all".

That's how riduculous you sound. You are pathetic in your attempt to discredit these individuals. You want to talk "trash".....look in the mirror.

Walmart pleeeassee bring in a reatailer like the homedepot that closes all the top retail.. Then bring in their cheap low end brands so everyones homes are decorated with crap! They don't pay workers and cut their purchase team. Have you noticed you have two choices in that store! They brought in their customers built clientel and now got rid of their vendors until you can only have one choice! Do not shop from WALMART! Way to bring down a community bring in walmart!

A shame it is, but a White Castle would be a step up from some rat-infested dump that rents out to trash. Just what White Islip needs!

Such a beautiful building there must be something that can be transformed into. We don't need more brick buildings! So pretty hate to loose it! Why can't it be changed into small stores inside that building? Doctors offices?

I got married in that place. Some Wedding gifts were stolen and employees were accused of the thefts this was 15 years ago. They stole about $5000 worth of cash and presents. They said the manager was involved but never caught.

you would need someone to buy it and renovate it into a different use. they tried to keep the main structure with the walgreens deal but it didnt work.

There was always theft in that place. Every time that they had a town meeting there, they would think of ways to steal the taxpayer money for their benefit.

As subtle as the summit pavillion and as blatant as the West Islip Summit Coalition...

Do you even know what the summit coalition does? I mean, really? lets see...
They are an organization whos members comprise EVERY group in this town... youth league, beautification, chamber of commerce, boy scouts, girl scouts, ptas, churches,..in short every volunteer group in this town that work towards the common good of all. THEY are the summit coalition. and THEY have done some good things for west islip.

Beach clean up at the west islip beach, and future development of the site to make it family friendly

Clean up and restoration of the creek to prevent the flooding that was occuring

Higbie lane center renovations including a new roof, and the resoration of the historical library.

all of the above done through effective communication with the town of islip.

now lets see charitable contributions:
adminasters lion heart which has gives emergency funds (all raised through fundraisers) to west islip families in need who have experiences some kind of loo or hardship

monthly food drives to keep our local pantries filled. all done with volunteers.

the pavillion is just 1 project that the summit is working on. the funds are being raised PRIVATELY so really, get your facts straight, and stop bashing people you know nothing about.

tell us please.. what have you done?
