Worst: Wyandanch is hands down the worst in the Town of Babylon. Hoodrats on the main street, bad schools, ugly houses, illegal immigrants.

2nd worst: North Amityville is the second worst but theres actually a nice section of North Amityville so it's not all bad like Wyandanch. Crime is much lower than how it used to be.

As for the best:

1st Best: Babylon Village is the best. Nice downtown area, nice historic houses, nice mansions near the water, good schools, very walkable.

2nd Best: Gilgo Beach is also very nice; a lot of flashy waterfront houses. Don't know how it is after the hurricanes these days.

3rd Best: Amityville Harbor

4th Best: Wheatley Heights is a beautiful area. It's zoned for Half Hollow schools which are top on the island. Probably the best mixed/diverse town on Long Island. The only con is that it borders Wyandanch.

A quick rundown from best to worst:
1. Babylon Village
2. Gilgo Beach
3. Amityville Harbor
4. Wheatley Heights
5. Lindenhurst
6. Deer Park
7. West Babylon
8. North Babylon
9. Amityville Village
10. East Farmingdale
11. North Lindenhurst
12. Copiague
13. North Amityville
14. Wyandanch

^^this is just ranking them by appearance. If you were to compare the school systems for example then it would be completely different.

I would rank the school systems like these. From best to worst..

Half Hollow Hills SD
Babylon SD
Farmingdale SD
West Babylon SD
Lindenhurst SD
Deer Park SD
North Babylon SD
Amityville SD
Copiague SD
Wyandanch SD

Ranking school systems could be very tricky since it depends on a lot of things. Every school has their strong points and weak points.
