We can't even control poppy production in Afghanistan and we can run that place like a military dictatorship. In fact, I wonder who profits off of heroin ... the CIA perhaps?

Proves my point! Amsterdam is no better, and in some ways, worse, than here. That makes it a poor example to use when criticizing this country, and saying we should be more like Amsterdam.

I think we should execute anyone caught with any amount of illegal narcotics and hang the bodies in public for all to see. No more of this sissy shit few years in prison crap. Its time to come down hard and make crime pay.

BTW: even in the liberal paradise of Canada you can only legally have up to a certain amount and they also still have alot of illegal growing operations.

To Bongmaster .......To think your brain is not effected and being diminished every time you light up is crazy. The effects burn you out. No memory - short term and in your case probably long term also and it's obvious you can't spell. Stop it!

There is a story behind this story.

Question: Why did SCPD call in the Fed's?

Answer: Mr.Dillon was slick enough to not have the charges stick in his June 2005 arrest. Nor could SCPD get enough evidence to firmly link him to the other warehouses discovered. So SCPD called in the Fed's, just as is done for mob operatives that can't be nailed. The money itself was the crime here.

So be honest here, does anyone reading this really feel safer now that this crew was defused? Or would it have been more effective to go after corporate criminals who rob you of your investment money? Or violent criminals?

Pot will never be legalized because you can grow it yourelf and good old Uncle Sam wouldn't be able to tax it! Hard liquor is responsible for death by motor vehicle and kills your liver. Since the government can tax it, liquor is legal!

Boo! to Newsday for showing law enforcement officers confiscating shotguns, while the shotguns weren't own by the suspects, instead owned by the father, an avid hunter. Photograph totally misleading.

Weed is not as bad as cigarettes and alchoal, which kill millions of people...

You do the math, the goverment should just legalize it and make money off of it already

This was an 8 year sting by the local police and federal authorities!!

Let me get this right. For 8 years these alleged criminals were permitted to sell drugs to our youth while living a life of the rich and famous.

Does to take 8 years to build a case against these dealers? Meanwhile our children and families suffer.

The system needs to change.

If you don't like the law, change it, but until then, the cops have to enforce it, whether you like it or not. So quit griping and find another LEGAL way to celebrate the Labor Day weekend!
well I can see how this might prevent Islamic terrorists from flying civilian aircraft into civilian buildings

wasn't Marion Barry re-elected as mayor while he was in jail on a cocaine conviction

Hmmmmm

17,000 people a year get killed by drunk drivers
that's not counting schlorosis of the liver deaths

no one dies from smoking marijuana
perhaps a government "of the people, by the people for the people" should listen to the people

I'ld rather see the jail space available for murders, rapists and Muslims

not pot smokers

God made Marijuana

who would you trust ?

Illegal immigration is also against the law but somehow your a racist if you enforce that one...
Hand Held Cell phone use illegal but when driving and talking on my handheld last week I look over at the cop next to me, he's doing the same, I shrugged, he shrugged and I let him go in front of me after the light turned green.

So in choosing which laws I abide to Why do cops pick and choose which laws they enforce?(IE: illigal immigration, 70MPH on the Highway, cell phones,

Why does the President pick and choose which laws he abides to?(IE: secret wire tapping, Geneva conventions)

The problem most law enforcement has with common drug dealers is that the money is not being used to fund secret prisons and wars around the world.

and you know, I don't like the law either but saying "change it" proves your just an ignoramus.

why spend my life fighting a law that will never be changed in this country, when for 20 bucks I just sit down with my brothers and get high?

go spread you legs for a K street lobbyist this weekend and make some real changes in this country

whos "Suffering' they made good pot. for all we know people with glaucoma that cannot deal with the pressure in their skulls were given relief.
People getting radiation poisoning, i mean treatment, for cancer were able to hold food down because the pot settled their stomachs.
Those with insomnia we're able to sleep

Stop being so scared of Pot
