Jim Alcus has brought his life of crime to West Islip. He is tied to all the fraud in this town which includes Ann Marie LaRosa, Elliot Bloom and all the boards that are inflicting this town with hate and wrongdoing. Alcus may be skimming off the top line of little league but I doubt it stops there. Let Joseph Dipalma rest in peace. But the others will need to answer. Lets fix our town! Let's stop the ridiculous tax increases and fees our town is paying because these people only help each other!

I could not agree with you more. I don't know about LaRosa, but Bloom I know about. So many of these people really think that the one or two times they did something good erases all their bad deeds. It's how they justify their lives to themselves and each other. This is Islip cess pool overflowing. When you are pond scum you hope to glom onto someone whose rising to the top to get you out of your hell hole. Opportunists are what these people are. They feed off of each other. Who ever pointed out PAWS knows what I am talking about. Listen, if you are good parents, custodians of your own children, most of these wasteful programs would not exist.
These programs are headed up by the same people over and over again on purpose. They don't want ousiders coming in, not unless you pledged your undying loyalty and get in bed with them.

Throughout the fun-filled day, West Islip residents used PAWS' vouchers obtained on the website to make their holiday purchases. A percentage of those sales is being donated to PAWS by the bookstore. According to Ms. LaRosa, "PAWS' supporters generated nearly $10,000 that day, a percentage of which will go to the education foundation for its grant-giving program."

Monies raised by PAWS have no connection or impact on the district's tax base or school budgets. PAWS is a 501(c)(3) corporation, incorporated under the laws of the State of New York.

Interesting! I'm guessing not all that money is accounted for? Geez, how do these people look at themselves in the mirror?

Well I am glad that I am not the only one who is paying very very close attention. It's their own fault too, they woke me up about six years or so ago and because of that, I am paying very close attention indeed!

We may like the idea of Jim Alcus trying to be a bully from prison, but the thing we can actually control is who wins the positions that we vote on. Vote for Robert Maresca for West Islip School Board Vice President and the Alcus disease will weaken. Also vote against Bloom, he was in the Alcus Association.

If you don't have children in the district you shouldn't be on the board anyway. Get a life Bloom! Find another hobby because no one likes you trying to hang around for political reasons and the same goes for any of you who sit on that board for multiple, mulitiple terms thinking you are playing god! George Smith and Blooms cousin Sharon Beislin. What egos! When is that shaggy rag leaving as Superintendent? She and Pelosi should become pals. Aren't all these creeps basically cut from the same clothe? Well at least we know they all feed from the same pig trough. Do these people think they have us all fooled?

According to the west islip little league web-site:
Kathy Fix Vice President - Softball
According to paws web-site:
Katherine Fix Vice President - Membership
Annmarie Larosa is related to Fix
Larosa has affiliations with paws
Larosa is VP of West Islip school board
Eliot Bloom is on West Islip school board
Both Bloom and Larosa represented Jim Alcus when he ran for suffolk county legislator
Steve Gellar is president of West Islip school board
Gellar is trustee of paws
Gellar audited the West Islip little league, so did Fix
Jim Alcus is president of West Islip little league
Alcus has broken laws and doesn't pay his debts

Next time I sign my children up for little leage I better read the fine print because I didn't know part of the proceeds goes to the people above!

Man, if Jim Alcus has to pay his debt to society behind cell bars I won't be shedding any tears. How this poor soul Joseph Dipalma ended his life is quite a shame. But the real shame will be how Alcus misappropriated money for kids and all for political gain. I concur with all of you contributing your thoughts. The crime and fraud in West Islip must stop. We owe it to our children.

More than what happens in baseball or any of those other secondary issues, we need to follow the elected "elite" closely because where there is smoke, there is fire! Too many of these elitists think they are above the rules of law they so vehemently make the rest of us uphold, even when we are the most upstanding, law abiding, peaceful citizens around! They make stuff up and funny thing is that when they are caught, they try to cover up their tracks and get into collusion so they can protect their own asses. This is what our tax dollars pay for, not services, take a look around where you live, the taxes aren't paying for a gosh darn thing.

Just one comment about the people you are cyber bullying. You know, the volunteers that actually get out from behind the computer and do something good for people? You ask why it is always the same people? It is a great question. Why IS it always the same people? The answer of couse is that these are the people that actually stand up and raise their hands and get involved. How could you possibly bash PAWS? You think you are just lashing out at their board of directors? I assure you, there are many, many more active people who you are insulting with your innuendo and accusations. People who are true west islip folk who only want the best for our students. Have your children ever climbed the rock wall at udall? Have they ever been in a classroom with a smartboard in it? have they used the ipod technology at beach street? Have you ever heard the grand piano at the high school, have they taken step classes at Kirdahy? Have they used the laptops or the biotechnology program at the high school? how about the laser cutter for robotics? or the new saws in the tech classes? ALL DONATED BY PAWS!!!!!!! FOR OUR CHILDREN!!!! PAWS relies on volunteers, and will gladly accept your help. There is a meeting this thursday may 6th at 7pm at the beach street library. Please introduce yourself or will you be too busy behind your computer spreading these hate filled messages about the people who do good things in this community because you have hate in your heart? For your information, to date PAWS has raised and granted over $159,000 to the west islip student. EVERY PENNY RAISED GOES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY. This is what is right about West Islip. YOU are what is wrong.

It is absolutely fascinating how anyone can publish things that are short on facts and long on inuendo. The town conspiracy theory is truly entertaining. Perhaps you all are better served writing a best seller rather than making imaginary connections that have financial inducement simply for being involved in mulitple volunteer organizations. Misguided, Misinformed and clearly malcontent. It's so transparent, it's truly pathetic. Get a life.

Confused got it right is assessing Alcus. He is indeed a self-serving bully who only has his own interests at heart. If there's money in it for him, he's there. Anyone who has ever volunteered at the Beach Fields food shack (I have)has seen first hand Alcus' interest in Little League. The cash goes from the register to his pocket and there are no records kept. No one knows what's coming in and no one knows how much is going out, except for Jim - its in his pocket. Sure, he's not getting rich off the shack money, but it makes you wonder what else he's up to. Our kids deserve better. While Barraga is not the greatest choice, he is the better of two evils. At least he didn't come across like a bumbling idiot during the debate. Alcus was lucky he could complete a sentence!
Back in October, 2009 someone was on the right track.

If you ever truly volunteered at the "shack" as you say you did, you would know that the Shack Committee is responsibile for the Shack, not the president. This includes revenue and expense. Now, if you are going to say that "they" are all in on "it" ("it's in his pocket"). Then it's just more conspiracy theory crap.........Once again, short on facts and long on inuendo, or in this case just plain fabrication.
Just to be clear here, I am not defending Jim Alcus, he can do that all on his own. What I take exception to is folks like you attacking entire organizations that have some really good people taking time away from their own families to make those organizations successful. Quite frankly, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.........

Checking my email, I find an alert that this thread has posts. Since it is has been inactive since the fall, I click on and read. You are horrible, dispicable people.
Joe Dipalma was a good man, a good friend, and a good community leader. What is known, is that Joe suffered from depression surrounding his loss of job. Many people tried to help him find one, including his good friend Jim Alcus. However, his illness took over, and his depression became worse when he read awful things being written about him on various blogs similar to this one. Hateful people such as yourselves who bully people behind anonymous postings because you are to cowardly to actually say these things to someones face. Now I do not know a thing about this little league stuff, nor do I care, you seem to want to take down anyone that ever had a conversation or dared be friends with Jim Alcus, just to exact some sort of vendetta. Your writing back and forth to each other is actually juvenile, and anyone can see that you all know each other, and are just trying to hurt people in this town.
stop using the computer to hurt people, they have done nothing to you. West islip has been through enough. solve your problems like adults.
