Should Sardon get a 5 year contract to become the new superintendent

The board will try to pull a fast one ,just like they did in South Allegheny when they gave Risha his new 5 year contract,then the new board members voted him out,thus paying the $325K buyout. The new board members are sworn in on December 8th,and a "special" meeting will take place on December 4th ( funny how that happened) to appoint Sardon to a new 5 year deal. Once that is voted on and passed. We are stuck with Sardon ( one of Risha's puppets) for another 5 years,until we buy her out of her contract as South Allegheny did with Risha. We cant let this happen,and the 5 votes to get Sardon her contract have nothing to lose at this point. It's a lame duck board. The tax payers will be screwed for sure if Sardon gets the nod. Maybe one last kickback from Risha to the board members that vote Sardon in. Storm the building and say NO to Sardon's new position.

The people of West Mifflin need to rise up against Janet Stardon (Risha's pronunciation!). She is an ignorant person-she always told the kids at SA- "I'm sick of you-go to the office!" She has no people skills at all. She sat in her office when at SA and worked on her grad degree while everyone else did her work. And SA paid for that degree. She left SA when the fat man did because she knew she wouldn"t get very far with a new board. She's got baggage as well. And shame on the West Mifflin board for putting those severance packages in place- someone needs to go to Harrisburg with that- no different in my eyes than extending a contract (SA) as a lame duck board. It's legal, yeah, but highly unethical. What a way to screw everyone- bet Risha gets some kind of kickback from those contracts as well. And the 5 board members will get a piece of that!! Hoope it was worth it!

I can't see how Sardon's appointment would be lawful. The superintendant position doesn't officially open until Dec. 23rd. If the board holds a special meeting before the new board takes office and appoints a new super, there is probably a way for the new board to overturn it. How can you appoint someone to a position that isn't even vacated??

Ted likes Sardon. He doesn't owe Price, Shar or Alexandroff anything. Ted won on his own. He will vote to keep her if he believes she is the best person for the job! All you Shar people keep doing the thinking for Ted. Ted is going to do what he believes is best. Ted talks to parents all the time, especially at the elementary level. Ted has the respect that few board members ever have. Price and Shar can fight over who is president while Ted just does what is right.

I don't know what SA Alumni has been smoking or drinking, but he/she obviously never had kids in the system under her. She is not an incredible leader. She is hated by the kids there- there is a difference between not being liked because you are strict and not being liked because you are a bitch. SA Alumni, the best thing that ever happened in SA was when Risha, Sardon and Starmack all left. You'll never know just how much damage they did.

What job did she get you? If she was good at SA why didn't they keep her? Instead she went to Mckeesport and Risha got her a job not as assistant, but head of technolgy, another made up position.

Someone up there better do their homework. The Pennsylvania School Code says that when it is not possible to immediately fill a superintendant vacancy, the board can appoint an acting assistant for a PERIOD NO LONGER THAN 1 YEAR.
