This morning it was widely reported that the national "unemployment rate" dropped to 7.8%(the lying media)- and that most of the drop was "the fact that many people simply stopped looking for a job." That comment is very disrespectful to unemployed people who are working harder than ever to find a job.

The rate that is reported as the unemployment rate by the Bureau of Labor Statistics is table U3. That table only measures the number of people who are Receiving Unemployment Benefits. The true unemployment rate is 14.7% and is reflected on BLS table U6 - and remains unchanged. By the way, Congress dictates which table is used to report unemployment. http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t15.ht...

This just makes me want to stomp on the balls of all our Congress men and women. It's time for voters to start taking responsibility for who you vote for. votesmart.org breaks everyone's records down and asks them to take a test explaining their positions on issues. The Congress people who don't feel like they owe anyone an answer should automatically be ignored and not voted for and the ones whose views on issues that don't match up with the American public's, obviously should be voted out too. Technically they all need to be voted out and there needs to be time term limits on a seat. And we need to cut their benefits.

Does this mean Mitt Romney is going to have to up his promise from 12 million new jobs to about 24 million in order to fulfill his promise of having almost zero unemployment by the end of his first term?

YJ Draiman for Mayor LA

LA’s Mayoral Candidate YJ Draiman

Yehuda YJ Draiman - Independent, Neighborhood Council Secretary and Energy/Utility Consultant
Pros: As an outsider, Draiman's allegiance is to the people of Los Angeles. His activism and volunteering in the community encourages change and that appeal alone makes him viable. As a candidate who is not obligated to the special interests, he sees things as a servant of the people. Draiman wants to make Los Angeles the World Capital of Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Water Conservation, this will invigorate the economy and create permanent jobs with good pay. He wants to reduce bureaucracy and aggressively go after new businesses, which would increase employment. He strongly believes in “Made in America” products. Draiman, with the right team behind him could make a difference.
