West Haven teen killed on bike

West Haven police say a 14-year-old boy has been struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle while riding his bicycle through a busy intersection in West Haven.

This just proves kids shouldnt be on the roads..driving,riding a bike,or walking. This wouldnt have happened if he was sitting in his home playing with his Xbox

Sure make all the kids numb... I use to ride my bike all the time when I was younger. Granted he and his friends went into the traffic but they shouldn't be sheltered at home with an X box

This is so sad. I had a dinner party at the restaurant right across from where this happened and I've seen the masses of cars and bikes going through that area. Quite congested and very scary to ride a bike in the street. My condolences to the family.

I know this kid that got hit. It was Ralph Russo. He was the best kid i ever knew. Why did God have to pick him as an angel? At least not yet. He wanted to be a firefighter when he was older and wanted to visit Italy. He is so popular. He was part of the Young Explorers program at Allingtown Fire Department. He always knew how to make people smile on the worst days and knew how to make people laugh. When he walked into a room, he would brighten it up. He attened Bailey middle school for 8th grade and Carrigan for 7th and 6th grade. Ralphie will live on forever and will be forever missed and never forgotten. R.I.P Ralph Joseph Russo Jr. </3
