We only need to ask one simple question to determine “what could have set the newtown Adam Lanza gunman off.” That question is: What psychiatric drug was he taking or withdrawing from? Sometimes simple questions are the hardest to ask. That question would be hard for the media to ask, because after reporting the event, taking station breaks for advertisements for antidepressants and sedatives might give big media editors and producers indigestion, since their very existence depends on Big Pharma sponsorship.
That question would be hard for some politicians to ask because it might jeopardize Big Pharma campaign contributions (footnote 2). And that question might be hard for many Americans to ask because they are consuming psychiatric medications like candy.

Just do a google search "school shootings and psychiatric drugs".
Or google search "school shooter anti depressant"
Mabey a lawsuit for unsafe drugs.

T.V news seems to avoid psychiatric drug question.

Exactly! Even in tv advertisements they warn that most ANTI-depressants can make the user suicidal. If a person is suicidal how far is that really from homicidal? Take a suicidal person with built up rage/anger and you have a disaster! God help those people because I know there are many more at that stage in life, an inch away from snapping like this boy did. Sad, just really sad.

If Adam Lanza was taking Fanapt that drug is not mentioned for treating AS. Fanapt is a multipersonality therapy. Of course a Doctor can and will prescribe any drug as treatment for any mental disorder as a stab in the dark.

Adam Lanza's mother was no doubt reaching for anything that might address Adam's severe mental state. Reading about Asbergers indicates a disorder that matures with age and is NOT associated with violent behavior.

Again Fanapt has many side effects that resemble Adam Lanza's actions the day attacked his mother and then the school children and staff. RIP brave kids and staff of Sandy Hook Elementary School.

AS Medications

No medications directly treat the core symptoms of AS.[85] Although research into the efficacy of pharmaceutical intervention for AS is limited,[1] it is essential to diagnose and treat comorbid conditions.[2] Deficits in self-identifying emotions or in observing effects of one's behavior on others can make it difficult for individuals with AS to see why medication may be appropriate.[85] Medication can be effective in combination with behavioral interventions and environmental accommodations in treating comorbid symptoms such as anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, inattention and aggression.[1] The atypical antipsychotic medications risperidone and olanzapine have been shown to reduce the associated symptoms of AS;[1] risperidone can reduce repetitive and self-injurious behaviors, aggressive outbursts and impulsivity, and improve stereotypical patterns of behavior and social relatedness. The selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, and sertraline have been effective in treating restricted and repetitive interests and behaviors.[1][2][48]

Care must be taken with medications, as side effects may be more common and harder to evaluate in individuals with AS, and tests of drugs' effectiveness against comorbid conditions routinely exclude individuals from the autism spectrum.[85] Abnormalities in metabolism, cardiac conduction times, and an increased risk of type 2 diabetes have been raised as concerns with these medications,[90][91] along with serious long-term neurological side effects.[87] SSRIs can lead to manifestations of behavioral activation such as increased impulsivity, aggression, and sleep disturbance.[48] Weight gain and fatigue are commonly reported side effects of risperidone, which may also lead to increased risk for extrapyramidal symptoms such as restlessness and dystonia[48] and increased serum prolactin levels.[92] Sedation and weight gain are more common with olanzapine,[91] which has also been linked with diabetes.[90] Sedative side-effects in school-age children[93] have ramifications for classroom learning. Individuals with AS may be unable to identify and communicate their internal moods and emotions or to tolerate side effects that for most people would not be problematic.[94]

What bothers me is, how can it not be about $, they are suing for $, so it is about $ when it comes down to it. I'm not saying the child isn't going thru hell, but $ isn't going to make it any better. Plus if they get that $ from the state, that's like taking $ away that possibly could have been used to help increase school security and prevent stuff like this in the future. Just not sure what will be gained from a suit like this.

..........Most likely they avoid the question since there is no doctor to ask. Had there been this person would have dragged to the front and persecuted like with the Colorado incident. This looks more and more like a smokescreen to hide what is on the computer.

Adam had AS, however AS did does not trigger a person to mass murder.

Adam was on drug Fanapt which is therapy for multiplersonality disorder. Fanapt can cause a person to mass murder based on box warnings.
