The poll I saw yesterday that states what you did about the black community not accepting same-sex marriage ... but doesn't faze them regarding their vote for Obama ... troubles me.

What's helping the republican party is nobommie. He comes up with a good one every week, then he has to squirm out of it. No budget for the last three and a half years, that's against the constitution, everything is building up against him. This week, sometimes he forgets about the recession, how many of us can forget about this subject? This week he believes in gay and lesbian marriage. He goes with whatever he thinks will get him a vote. He has lots of important decissions he needs to be making, it seema as tho all these social issues is what's he is campaigning on. Uncomfortably Numb: Mitt Romney Has No Idea How You Feel
"Were you to slam your head into a dead tree trunk for hours on end, that tree trunk would have a vastly more dramatic reaction to your suffering than corporate prince and right-wing presidential nominee Mitt Romney. A professional corporate plunderer whose political career has previously hovered just inches outside of the national spotlight, never before has Mitt Romney’s boardroom detachment been so obvious. Surely there have been other cold, out-of-touch millionaires who have applied themselves to winning national office, but the others could at least fake a little humanity–even pretend to a “compassionate conservatism.” Mitt Romney couldn’t be more out of touch with America if he lived in Pyongyang."

"Come November, Romney will for once have to sit and be judged by millions of average folks, instead of the other way around. It’s an almost karmic moment of irony that a child of such unearned privilege seeks to sweet-talk the vote from so many who have had to earn for themselves. At least for a moment in our democracy, us double-jobbers, over-time chasers, working parents, citizen intelligentsia, abandoned youth, colonized urban communities, lip-serviced veterans and economic untouchables–we’ll get to express our opinion on this millionaire. Each person’s vote is their own, but if you give a damn about your condition, you need to realize that Mitt Romney does not."

Mitt Romney Appeals To Evangelicals At Liberty University

The speech was billed by the campaign as “personal not policy,” according to reports Friday. And for the most part, Romney stuck to telling his own story. But in this evangelical Republican stronghold, Romney dipped his foot into the social policy fights of the past week, casting the election as a battle between those would protect marriage from advocates seeking to make it open to more couples.

President Romney will win 44 states, 400+ electoral votes and a filibuster proof senate repeating President Reagan's crushing defeat over Carter in 1980.

Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begun

Along the long road and on down the causeway
Do they still meet there by the Cut

There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before time took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The nights of wonder

Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken fowards but sleepwalking backwards again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide

At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world

Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we've been so many times

The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river

Forever and ever

The Miami Herald’s Marc Caputo reports that next week the Romney campaign will be doing a major fundraising blitz across Florida, including an event “at the Star Island manse of pharmaceutical magnate Phil and Pat Frost where dinner costs $50,000.”

Who is Dr. Phil Frost? He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Teva Pharmaceuticals, a major manufacturer of contraceptives. Its North American website prominently advertises several forms of contraception, including Plan B One Step, which Romney previously denounced as an “abortive pill”:

Other than that, there is no requirement to accept their deviant behavior and obnoxious political agenda.

The liberal media made up that story about Romney, Lily. You'll believe anything. Where is the victim? Witnesses? Sources?

Of course, homophobia is a reality. But for you to label only conservatives as being such makes you out to be the liar.

Obama was quite public about being against gay marriage until he caved to his far left base - and will probably pay a price for that among a significant number of black voters.

Gays have just as many civil rights as anyone and have become quite a part of the mainstream with tolerance from all sides.

They just can't have the definition of marriage. Most of us aren't as "evolved" as this president suddenly became overnight.

There are some standards in society that are there for a reason since time and memorial. The definition of marrige is one of them. If that ever changes, I just hope I'm not around anymore.

It would be in the chapter "The Fall of America" in future history books.

As governor of Massachusetts, Romney futilely vetoed a bill that made the morning-after pill available over the counter to rape victims, announcing in the Boston Globe in 2005, "I am pro-life."

But Think Progress also points out that Romney has financial investments in 5 other companies that sell emergency contraception and/or birth control, and campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul did not respond to a Bloomberg request for comment on how Romney could accept support from a host who profits from Plan B.

According to Teva, Dr. Frost has served on the company's board since shortly after it acquired his own firm Ivax in 2005 for $7.6 billion; Forbes reported in 2010 that he held more than $850 million in shares of Teva stock.

The Miami Herald reports Romney hopes to raise $5 to $8 million on his Florida fundraising tour.
