Alright, you went there hero. Personally, I HAVED judged the people that own the breed for years. More likely than not, they include damn thugs wearing low-rider pants or dumbass country-bumpkins. In general, I'm spot-on in identifying owners of these psycho-dogs. I don't give a rats ass how you raise one of them, they are natural born killers. It's bred in them and I would lead the bandwagon in outlawing the breed.

stop being a stereo type.and if thats the case.thats like saying lets outlaw black people because they break the law more then white people.see thats not right because they are some really great black people in this world just like they are some great pitbulls in the world too.stop judgeing by just the breed.look at it on all positions from breed to race.

They are not natural born killers. Until you have loved them and raised them you dont know shit. People make the dog. Dogs (all breeds) are born to try and please their owners. I have 5 pits and NEVER have I had a problem. Its all with how theyre raised.

I borrowed this because this is what I believe to be true:

"I know pit bulls have a very bad reputation, but that's because they have earned it some way or another. Yes, I know that many pit bulls are loving and caring, but they are also notorious for 'snapping' due to literally no reason. This usually results in an attack, where the pitbull latches onto a victim and will usually only let go once euthanised. The pit bull was bred to fight, and often will, to the death. Because their aggression is in their genetics, it is also in their temperament. Although you can alter behaviour, you can't alter temperament. That means that a pit bull, regardless of how loving it has previously seemed, has the possibility to fall back on instinct and attack."

This happened to a friend of mine. The husband's pit bull snapped. He was lucky and didn't get hurt bad. She had it euthanized the next day. He was heart-broken when he found out, but he knew it had to be done.

Oh, there are plenty of statistics out there, but you probably won't believe any of them. Here's another:

"31 U.S. fatal dog attacks occurred in 2011. Despite being regulated in Military Housing areas and over 650 U.S. cities, pit bulls led these attacks accounting for 71%(22). Pit bulls make up less than 5% of the total U.S. dog population."

The structure of a pit bull's jaw is different from other dogs and enables it to have more biting power than other breeds. This is the reason that pit bulls are trained for fighting. Such a dog should not be allowed to interact with children and all parents should do a lot of research before getting any type of animal.

by the way the pitbull was not bred to fight.they where bred and raised to round up bulls into a pit.thats why they are called pitbulls.know your facts.and thats why they become known as the best fighting dogs because alot of people thoght if a pitbull can take down a 2,000lb bull they could take down a 50lb dog easy.

I do know the facts. Pit bulls are notorious for snapping and turning on their own master even when they are raised in a loving environment. It comes with the breed, not always in the raising. It may happen rarely with other breeds, but pit bulls lead pack when it comes to sudden, unprovoked aggression. Nothing wrong with loving your pit bull, but be realistic about the facts.

Nope I don't believe any of the sites you listed. Sorry. I know my dogs and would trust my dogs any day around my kids. But we are never goin to agree on this topic, so lets just agree to disagree. I'll continue to raise my dogs and children around one another and you'll be the one to walk the other way when me and my dogs go out in public. But I bid you a good day. And Michael, I'm glad someone else loves their pitbulls!

If these are people that are fighting dogs why are they not arrested? I thought that dog fighting was a crime! Why hadn't someone reported it? Everyone who knew those folks were fighting dogs are partly guilty, my opinion. I would pay a reward to anyone who reports dog fighting and the criminals are arrested and serve time!

the law was called on them many times for dog fighting, but the law did not do anything.idk why but nothing was done.and i disagree with you on saying Everyone who knew those folks were fighting dogs are partly guilty, you cant help what other people do.now if you participate i could see where your comeing from.the law needs to do there job and charge the people for dog fighting and child abandament for not watching the child.and kill the dog to.

People who can't care for dogs, as in train, feed, get medical care, license, properly house and contain, shouldn't get them.

Dogs SHOULD NOT be running free anywhere in this county.
They fight, can kill livestock and get run over.

Some breeds you just shoudn't have around small children.

Small children shouldn't be left alone around any dog.
