It is the way a dog is raised. From the biggest to the smallest, if you teach hatred, they will see hatred just as children will.

Doubtful it was a pitbull. Probobly some mixed breed shit eating short haired whip tailed dog. Those are all automatically "pit bulls"
I have a 100 lbs 3 year old blue male pit bull that's as gentle as a teddy bear.

I raise pits around my children and have never had a problem. I send prayers out for this child. Its the owners responsibility to teach the dog and obviously they skipped a lesson somewhere! My babies are gentle with my 2yr old and 6mo old and as I said Ive never had a problem.

i live in bethel community and i know for a fact the dogs running around in the trailer park are mixed breed mutts and they raise them for dog fighting.they are skinny and worth less mutts.the people that own the dog owns several more dogs and they starve them to death.so dont blame the breed blame the deed.know your facts first before downing the bull breed.

Why do people take chances with dogs around children! A child's life is more valuable than having a dangerous dog!

If you cant take care of the animals then dont even have them at all...and no they are not mutts..maybe if they wouldve been treated right and cared for then they wouldnt act like that...i feel bad for the family and also the animals...my kids have been around pitts and they were just as sweet as they could be...if you raise them to be monsters they will

there are some breeds which are naturally more agressive than others. Pitts are one of those breeds. that said a person can make a Golden Retriever aggressive if they work at it.
it's natural for the owner of a breed to defend the breed but I don't recall seeing alot of stories about non agressive breeds attacking people. if someone owns an agressive breed they have a higher duty to properly train the dog than a person with a less dangerous dog breed HOWEVER any dog is a responsibility many people can't handle.

yes i agree...and if you teach the dog not to be agressive they wont..i mean you can teach a chiuahha to be agressive and attack and they will...ive seen several that are mean and would snap..my greag grandmother had one and as a child i remember going to her house and trying to pet the dog and he would snap at me...so it all depends on how you train them...

we had a mini doberman, most folks she met she never even growled at. but there was a few that she would attac.
she was very protective of me and my husband.she was a vey little dog so i guess they will all hurt you if the occasion is right.of course the bigger dogs do more damage.

That's total BULL. I have owned several breeds that were not taught to be aggressive at all and the dogs became very aggressive as they aged. One even turned on me after it had slept on the foot of my bed for 4 years. The dog was not mistreated. It was not beaten. It was babied from birth. Dogs are territorial animals and whether you raise them to attack or not, ALL dogs WILL defend their territory and their pack. Some breeds are more apt to become more defensive than others. Pit bulls are one of these breeds. If you believe otherwise, you are kidding yourself to justify your owning one.

Need to do your research It is not only pitts tat attack. And from what i heard at Flash Foods this morning the dog was trained to fight so the owner needs to get in truble.Dog ae trained to do whatwe tell them.It could ha jstas easy been a german shepard or a lab.Dogs react by their training.
