Missing money, Broxton clerk fired

A city clerk has been fired and an audit is being conducted. City Clerk Tracy Lott was fired Tuesday night.

The rumor is $400,000.00 missing.

You need to get ALL the facts before you start talking about thing you know nothing about! 1st they have been working on that house almost 10 years and her husband built almost ALL of it himself. and He had a very successful business for about 4 years. When everything is said and done Im sure this will be squashed. As for the sh#$ talk it you need to think she has children at home.

I heard that she was writing herself checks 2-3 times per week. If she ain't guilty she should have kept a better balance of the books. Every dog has there day, and the day is now. If the government didn't have proof, she would still have a job. Who knows where the money went, I am sure we will find out soon. I know for a fact she would charge purchases at Aden's in Broxton to the City of Broxton-Gas,Cigarettes, etc. Oh, well.

Rumor has it that she was cleaning a Dr.'s ass out fairly well when she worked for him years ago and he fired her without pressing charges, he just told her to leave. If no records were kept, then only the GOOD LORD really knows how much money is actually missing. As the old saying goes, " If you want to play, you have to pay!" I guess it is time to pay.

Mr. Blue, I also guess this is the same BR that had so many DUI's that he had to ride the lawn mower to city hall for the town meetings so he could remain mayor.

The city council should review the city's charter and make the necessary chages to avoid multiple family members from being employed by the city. My only concern is who does (or was) the city clerk reports to? Shouldn't this person be responsible or accountable for the missing funds also?

I think the city manager is the one to keep track of the operation or the mayor if there is no city manager, do they have a city manager or is the mayor running the day to day operation? Who fired the clerk was it the city commissioners or the mayor? Maybe if the law enforcement will do their job then this wrong will be made right.
