Someone please tell me more about this. I was told that a family moved and left 2 of their dogs tied up in their yard with no food or water. Neighbors notified the police and the pound but it took a month to rescue these 2 dogs and then it was too late. I heard that Franklin County Animal Shelter put both of the dogs down. The pictures I saw of these dogs on Facebook are horrifying! Does anyone know more?

If this is true then the Animal Shelter should be charged with neglect also. Why in the world would it take them a month to do something?

Where are these people now? Surely charges have been made against them! I wonder if the Humane Society was notified? These people need to be tied to a tree and left to starve!

The people who did this horrible act are named Brian and Stacy Pearce. Yes they moved abandoned the animals and tied them up and left them to starve. After several calls to Animal Control which went unanswered and the police who did nothing the animals were FINALLY taken by Animal Control and put down. They said they were in such bad shape that they had no choice. Why this was allowed to go on so long and why these people were not arrested and charged is a good question???? Where were the neighbors and why was nothing done? These idiots also have 4 children. 3 girls and 1 boy living in a two bedroom house. The girls stayed out in the garage. DCFS reportedly said that this was ok. Utilities were shut off. They are scammers. They are always begging for help from the community. Always asking for handouts. He works at Krogers in Marion. They should have asked for help for the dogs. Lindsey Leek and her Dad took food over there when she relocated to the neighborhood. Too late for the dogs though. Now the Pearces have duck tailed and run......we'll find them. Police should be looking for them as we speak but who knows??

Vanessa, everything you posted is hearsay & not relevant. You do not know all the circumstances & have NO right to bring innocent children into this let alone even naming names on here. If DCFS said there was no problem then what is the big deal. I blame animal control just as much as I do the owners by the way.

It's not heresay and is relevant. Haven't you ever heard of the reasoning behind animal abuse that usually leads to child abuse? The neighbors reported the child abuse that they saw. As for the people, yes we know where they live now and everyone is watching them. 507 N. Gardner in WF. You must already know that since you are the sole supporter of their actions! DCFS also said that them having no utilties in their house was ok too....another waste of tax payers money. They probably collect welfare for the kids, LINK card, and the works.

I did NOT say anywhere in my post that I supported abuse. But once again, it is not right to post an address or names on a public forum ESPECIALLY when there are kids at that residence. WTH is your problem. You're probably the cops wife that is spreading everything all over fb. What does it matter if they get link or whatever?? You said the dad does work. Ok & somebody needs extra help? What's the problem with that? A lot of people collect & sit on their butts all day. At least somebody IS trying there..as I said though, things posted about children is uncalled for. Give it up..children are more important than animals any day & you are NOT helping children by posting garbage online.

Also, if somebody is passionate about animals & helping them that is one thing. But people need to be passionate about children as well & don't post about innocent children! Seems like SOME people care more about the animals........

can't believe you people that feel so bad about this and know so much were not more persistant with your calls,if animal control and police did nothing, why didn't you call the news media or email them the story with the pictures, that would have stirred more sxxt than you are on here and facebook. With all the firsthand info you all seem to have, why are you waiting until after the fact to post,if you had started your postings about it while it was going on,there would have been some action, now you are real Hero's you too have let these dogs down

I hope they do, then we know they are all eating. I couldn't bare the thought of the kids going hungry. Why should they suffer? Times are hard right now. I'm not saying what they did with the animals are right, but they might not help how they are living right now. I know we are doing the best we can right now, but are having a hard time doing it.

I agree "well". Where were all those people then? Why didn't they take the dogs if they could see they were starving?? Why wait til it was too late? Now they're stirring crap & posting names & addresses, putting little innocent children at risk.

I'm backing up Vanessa here. These people need to be called out for their bad behavior. Stop giving sympathy to these criminals. If you don't like it, don't read it. WF residents wonder why no jobs arrive, its because we've allowed our community to go down the crapper. Who wants to move a warehouse, factory or legitimate company in to Franklin County when we have drug addicts killing each other off, meth labs cooking up sh#t & white trash participating in animal cruelty. If we don't call these people out & get this town cleaned up it will whittle away to the remains of a ghost town.
Good job Vanessa for doing your part to help clean up your community.

Yeah Vanessa, good job on not helping those poor dogs when they were starving then. And putting an address on the internet is such a great idea & a BIG help now??? I bow to you greatness. NOT. Get a life of your own.

Great Vanessa. Blame the cops because people are cruel and let animals starve to death. You must live a charmed life because it happens every week! Some bad people even hit their spouses, friends, rob banks, bars, houses, whatever. Get an application and be a hero Vanessa! You apparently know everything and nothing goes wrong on your watch. If Vanessa was in charge, we'd have world f'in peace. How bout this, instead of pointing fingers, why don't you do something positive like raise money so animal control can increase their staffing levels. Have you asked or applied to work for Animal Control? Hell no, you just bitch. Jarrett B. works his ass off and you just bitch. Why don't you take his job and turn things around. Very few people want to see animals abused and for you to spout off on f'in topix, WOW. I'll be looking for you at the four-way collecting money every week to help, volunteering at the animal shelter though you think animal control is a joke. Move over Obama, Vanessa is for change! And she'll do it! Thank God for you.

Yes, let me tell you, in this economical situation anyone can just "take" a job. Everyone has bags of money to donate while they are out there going back to school & working 2-3 minimum wage jobs to make up the difference of the full time well paying job they lost from bankruptcy, outsourcing, ect.

She did state that Lindsey Leek & her father Dr. Leek were kind enough to feed the dogs but those animals didn't belong to Vanessa or Dr. Leek or you or me; they belonged to the people that left them to starve & were their responsibility.

Anyone could be charged with criminal trespassing or theft in a situation in which they could state that they were trying to help the dogs. The system is set for these situations & the correct thing to do is call the police & animal control.

Watt a minute! You act like I knew what was going on here when all I did was ask some questions. I promise you if I did I would have tried to help those poor animals! And please do not get me started on DCFS! How many cases they have decided were unfounded and children were left to be abused or killed. Boy in a suitcase ring any bells?

what I posted was not for one person I did not put your screen name on in the post it was for the people that knew it was happening while it was happening and are now splattering everything on the net,I too hate what happened, but the point is,why are they posting the sad stuff now,People need to be aware of what did happen and thats ok,but....if it had been posted while it was happening maybe the dogs could have been saved and charges brought against the people.
