If you can afford a luxury like health insurance, why wouldn't you have it? Like paying sky-high bills? Going broke when you can't pay them? Passing the cost to Joe Taxpayer?

Just one reason, and don't say because you're in good health. You could get hit by a drunk driver any day or night.

The government(state) makes you buy car insurance. Isn't your health more important? I know people who can afford health insurance but choose not to have it because they want to spend it on other things! Like vacations and traveling teams for their kids! When they need health care, they go to an emergency room and the taxpayers are stuck with the bill. Gloom and doom predictions are scare tactics. It will work out, just like social security and medicare, which the Republicans were against also.

How in the wide wide world of sports do you think social security and medicare are working out, You are as big of a problem as the freaking politicians! Your ignorance is EXACTLY what is allowing this mess to happen!! This just like everything anymore is going to ride on the backs of every single TAXPAYING American, those who have their hand sticking out, of course wants this, but when you own a business or work for a small business you are going to absolutely and directly be affectd by this administration telling you that you must buy and or provide healthcare, and those who don't work, or are on the government dole is just going to sit back and say gimme gimme gimme!

At this point the taxes I pay cover your Social Security, Old American. Take a stand and give your check back. Oh wait, that's right you earned it.

See how circular your logic is?

I do not understand how anyone can NOT be happy that everyone has insurance! Might cut into the billions that Micky D's makes!

Oh yes, and maybe it will cut into the hundreds of dollars that the family owned businesses make, and now the government can "fine" those same small businesses for not buying insurance, i don't know what everyone is so gung ho' about, who do you think is going to pay for this?

I am very happy that something has been done to benefit everyone equally instead of just the rich! Sorry to most of you REPUBLICANS! I know that only the rich should get all the fringe benefits, while the poor blue collar worker takes it in the ear

The rich should have no complaints. They probably already have insurance and this will not affect them at all. It will however, drop the bottom out of the price of healthcare because providers will actually be able to collect.
