Looks like these guys are giving Dracut the finger......... good thing you gave them 1 more month to do what ever they please.
Any why not be anti-business to a business that seems to be anti-dracut.

Don’t they know you have to be a member of the zoning board before you can build on wetlands like Kazanjian did?

Where were the officials when Frank Gorman did the same over in East Dracut? Turtles and other wetland habitats started taking refuge into neighbors yards. Lowell Sun- If you're going to report stories such as this, post all the violators throughout town. Not select targets.

Business as usual in Dracut. Some people get to do what ever they want. Maybe his statement was right maybe they are untouchable. The selectman in this town are a joke.

The town is dumpy over there. Let them do whatever they want. At least they are invensting and trying to do something. Being so close to the lake evrything is a wetlands violation.

The wetlands laws are hurtful to all. They do not save the wetlands and they cost everyone more money; the conservation committee$, increased permit fees$, time$, fines$, etc.

The town openly throws sand and salt on the roads and cause contaminated runoff, but that is OK. The town lake rights area is an absolute dump, but that is OK. There is trash up and down the roads of that whole area, but that is OK.

The town officials are pond scum and the DPW is worthless.

Maybe they have something on the selectmen themselves and that's why they say they can't be touched. You know, like buying stolen pot. Maybe that's why they keep postponing the "talk" their supposed to have with the cops who had a questionable polygraph test.

Not to add to this High school "he said she said" Drama, but in Chubby's defense they have gone over the top to try to make that part of town nice. I have eaten there a few times, and they only have Dracut in mind with the decisions they make. The owners were very personable and talked freely about how happy they are to be in town. I have lived in this local area for a decent amount of time and from memory, the main people accusing them of anything wrong have a history of doing this to past owner. I being a resident of this area am happy to have them here. I hope everything works in there favor.

I for one think that they cleaned up an eye sore in the Community. That place always looked like it was in shambles. I was at the town meeting and I watched people back track, and slander, and make accusations. I am appalled they were not even allowed to defend themselves. From the looks of things this is a old fashioned witch hunt, and people with to much time on there hands are pointing fingers. I applaud the selectman that said this is anti-business, that is exactly what it is!

Of course they have gone "over the top". No wetlands permits, dah. No hauling costs, dah. They saved a bundle by NOT following the rules.

If any of you have actually gotten yourselves up from the computer, and gone down and seen what they have done down there, you ALL would see that all they did was clear away disgusting weeds and PILES of garbage out of the bushes along the fence on the other side of the road. (This fence by the way, you would have NEVER seen because it was buried under so much overgrowth and garbage...you never would have known it was there) Ive been into this establishment many times. The owners are friendly and personable. The food is fantastic. Every descision they have made is with the town of Dracut in their best intrest. How dare people slander, and make accusations without anybody present in the town meeting to defend themselves. Maybe Bob Corey, and his wife, should take care of their property a little bit better. Its just as big of an eyesore as the brush across the street was. Not to mention the illegal no parking signs they have cleverly placed themselves in front of their home. Everyone can sling mud from their comfy little computer chair, but head on down there and look for yourself. The brush that got cleared made the site across the street look a thousand times better. Maybe someone should take the time to say thank you to these guys for picking up the TONS of garbage that is littered EVERYWHERE on this so called protected wetland. If its so damn special, maybe someone ought to take the time to clean it up. Good job Chubby's.

People in Dracut have nothing better to do!!!!!!!

Worry about they economy and other bullshit, not someone who is try to better the economy and start a business!! Chubby's has the best food around!!!

One neighbor has the right connection and now everyone is going to bash Mike Dubois for trying to open a legit burger business!

C'mon, you are all hypocrites!!! Everywhere you go people try to bash people and 99% of it is out of jealousy.. Would you rather have Mike Dubois sitting at home collecting unemployment or out there trying to run two established businesses???

PS try the "Heavy Kevvy" it is INSANE, pure deliciousness!!

I don't know the parties involved or live in Dracut but to me it looks as if there is a combination of a neighbor who tried to act on authority they didn't have and subsequently making a mountain out of a mole hill, and a little bit of arrogance on the part of the owners. Im quite sure there are bigger issues that need to be solved in Dracut during these times. As i would also think that even though there were some violations the town would work with the owners to come to a reasonable resolution do to the fact that there are not many people investing in businesses, and most small businesses are on the brink of folding. If I were involved I would want to punish the owners but not to the point where I put them out of business, or make them pick up shop and move to NH where there is a more pro-business atmosphere. Because either way Dracut can say bye to the revenue, and possibly make future business think twice about opening up in Dracut.
