In May of 1987 a man was struck and killed while walking on Hwy 52W right before the Hwy 425 interchange in Hamburg. Does anyone have any information about this? I don't know if he was walking away from, or toward the interchange.
Did anyone see him walking on that road? It looks very rural. He had a long red beard, and moustache, 2 bandanas. Evidently nobody knew him as he was never identified so I'm trying to find out what I can to help. TIA

Hmm...seems like someone has been reading here. Maybe they should check the Websleuths thread for possible matches.

It sounds like someone reported him walking on that road, and when police arrived...blam.
Hopefully, someone else might remember seeing him wherever he was before he wound up walking on 52?
Those are not the kinds of roads that a person would be walking on because they want to, imo

No, I don't think so either. Mainly due to the fact that he didn't have any type of possessions, not even a few coins in his pocket. Also, late May, in Southern Arkansas, there is no need for a coat. I have a theory that he may have been hitching a ride in a big truck and for some reason was kicked out without his belongings. JMO

I have a few questions, too. What time of day did this occur? What condition was his clothing in? Were they clean? Did he look like he had been on the road for a while? What about his shoes? Where they new or were they worn out from a lot of walking?

Justcurious:
I wonder if LE released this pic back then. It would have been a no brainer to send it to some of the little one stops and truck stops a few towns or counties north east west and south. Somebody saw him somewhere down the road...which direction though?
My point was that the places he may have stopped in 20 yrs ago, could possibly be out of business today, and finding anyone that may have seen him will be hard as heck, now. I too would like to know what time of day did this happen?
Just have to keep sorting through the data bases til someone finds a match, if he's in there...
If any locals have looked at his picture in this weeks Ledger, it is possible that someone may wind up remembering this man.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Scorpio

If something is bothering you, it's important that you say so now, loudly and clearly. It's no good bottling things up any longer because that will only lead to resentment and a slow-burning anger. However, it's important that you know when to shut up too, otherwise you might overstate your case or sound so demanding that you turn others against you.
