We pray the victim is okay. I heard and saw all the helicopters circling/hovering in a circular formation

The police should not backed down when the driver stop - they should have apprehended him when they had the chance. They should had shot his tires if he did not respond to them - when the car stopped. The police let him drive away and continue the pursuit.

Just another chase that could have ended before someone got hurt ,.. I just can not understand why they wait till they crash ,putting the public in danger or they run out of gas .....they should buy some bullet proof cars to stop this aholes up front before it gets out of hand ...poor victims.

Does anyone know if the young woman is really OK? She was supposedly "non-responsive" and the firemen just stood around and did not try to get her out of the car.

The San Gabriel Tribune says it was a freeway chase. It was not. Maybe she is not all right either.

The police didn't care about the victim at all. took them 4min to even look in the car.
that's how they are not dealing with very high iq's that's for sure. They could have prevented the accident by taken the suspect down when he stopped. they didn't use spikes, pit move, or road block. Not very smart but what do you really expect from a cop. To be a cop the minimum IQ requirement is 70. The average IQ is 100 so what does that tell you? Just pray for them i guess.

I watched this chase live as it happened. I was disgusted with the police. They looked like a bunch of cowards, only interested in making sure the chase went longer so they could collect more overtime rather than protect the public from a maniac who had run dozens of red lights for the previous 30 minutes. The suspect stopped for two minutes and the cowardly police didn't pull in front of him, didn't shoot out the tires, didn't shoot the suspect, didn't do anything to end the chase. Were the police afraid of losing overtime or afraid of their patrol cars getting dented. Their pathetic inaction led to the suspect barreling through the intersection T-boning the innocent driver. They don't give a damn about protecting the public, they only care about protecting themselves. How many times have you seen or heard news accounts of them blowing away someone driving a car at one mile an hour toward a cop. The cop could easily step aside and let the suspect go, but instead 10 cops will unload their clips into the driver. This is proof positive it's all about them. They do nothing to protect citizens or prevent crime, they only consider it their job to do the paper work after a crime to try and get a conviction. I've never been so disgusted with the police in all my life. Cowards! I hope the poor victim sues the cities of Pasadena and Covina for millions.
