This salon just doesn't have it together on several levels. First of all, finding it is extremely difficult; not only is there no sign on the street, there's not even a handwritten sign on the door. Agh. Then when you walk in there's no place to put a coat or purse, not a smart move in this weather, although they have a lovely coffee area. Finally, and by far the most important, the owner just can't seem to show on time or even to show up for appointments. I've had two. For the first, she'd had trouble sleeping so dosed herself so heavily with Valium that she didn't wake up; I'm sitting in the salon, while cops, friends, and other employees are pounding on her door to wake her up. An hour later she arrives and starts doing my hair. While the cut was good, she didn't seem too upset about keeping me waiting. For the second appointment she didn't even show and the salon was locked. I was wondering if I'd been wrong about the day and time, but, no, I checked my planner and listened again to the message THE SALON LEFT WITH ME confirming the day and time. In other words, the salon calls to remind me to be there, but the OWNER of the salon, Crystal, who was the person cutting my hair, can't seem to make it to the appointment she reminded me of the day before. Agh! 1 mistake is one thing, but twice now and no call or apology yet (I'll probably never receive one, even though I left her a note and sent an email, because the salon doesn't even have an answering machine!?!) means that they've lost me. I also made sure to let the people who'd recommended me know, since they're in the beauty business and know that I'm the type of loyal customer that will follow someone from salon to salon.

I've been going to Crystal for over two years, following her from a previous salon to her currently-owned establishment, A Color Salon. I have to say that she is one of the best stylists I have had the pleasure of knowing. She's honest, personable, and dependable! I've highly recommended Crystal to everyone that has expressed interest in finding such a stylist. Her rates are reasonable and her cuts are fashionable. Check them out!

I can't say enough good things about the Salon and the staff that run it. The salon itself has a beautiful and calming atmosphere and the stylists are amazing. I always get a great cut and color from Michael and we always have so much fun talking and laughing. Please give them a try! I can promise you won't be disappointed!

I love A Color Salon! Michael has been my stylist for the last several years and I always come out of the salon with the best cut and color! Just had it done yesterday and today 5 people commented on my hair and asked who cuts it! I am happy to say MICHAEL BOWERS at A COLOR SALON!!

I cannot say enough positives about Michael and A Color Salon. I have been going to Michael for about 15 years and currently travel an hour each way to get my hair done. I love the work that Michael does with my hair. He is great with the cut and consistent with the color and I can style my hair to look like it does when I leave the salon. I've never been disappointed.

The new salon is very nice and kept very clean. The staff create a nice atmosphere and always good conversation with Michael and others.

They have just recently expanded the salon to add additional services. On my last visit, I had the chance to experience the new masseur ~ hes great! My time and money are well spent with Michael and A Color Salon.

I am sorry this was the experience that you had, i know i was there the morning that she did not show, and i offered to do your hair and take care of you, this does not excuse crystal showing up. you did send an email and we responded to your email offering you a free haircut to make up for the problems you had, the salon has always had a voicemail service, we are truly sorry about your experience.
