Not ruling out the possibility of criminal procedings. Are they nuts? This person needs to be put under the jail.

This is sad, but I'm so glad the animals were taken.
Unfortunately, all too often, the hoarder is mentally ill and in as bad of shape as the animals.
I hope this person gets the help they need...and never be allowed to own animals again.

Possibility of charges? Why is she not in jail right now? P-L-E-A-S-E, don't tell me she is pleading insanity. Thanks Jerome, who ever you are! I imagine you did not get much sleep either.

This is cruelty in the first degree!!! I am so sick over this words can't explain how I feel. I have been a breeder for 10 years and have seen many things but nothing so disgusting as this! This is truely a PUPPY MILL. This is the kind of place that all reputable breeders are horrified by!!!!!!!! This person is very very sick.

why would someone wamt to be so heartless what a shame animals are great companions and should be treated with love. This is a case of puppy mill gone awul. I hope this woman has to face charges, Hopefully she will have to serve a maximum amount of time for her actions. And hopefully the dogs that di d survive will be able to be placed into "LOVING" homes with people who really want them.. I commend the neighbor for being persistant enough to get the media and animal services involved.

Mike1950 :wrote ;there is no such thing as a responsible breeder. there are too many pets already.

Well you know Mike I breed Chihuahuas myself and feel that I'm a responsible breeder. No I do not breed "tea-cups" and I do agree there are allot in the shelters but not everyone wants a mixed breed , they may seek a certain breed, look or color out. Like my Merle Chihauhua's.

And I also own a grooming/pet shop and have many dogs dropped off at my shop that are just found on the side of the road so I agree with you a bit.

But this was more then just a bad breeder......... this was total animal abuse & neglect I saw it first hand when I went to shut her door that was left open{ after I put food inside to get the ones loose back inside, was told Officals would come Monday because of Holiday} and 7 of her dogs where running the streets again, not the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time. They are starving when they get out, have you seen a dog eat a orange just because he liked it? Most would not. The issue her is nothing was done to help these animals earlier, since AUG/07. Oh and did I mention they {labadoodles 5-6 at a time}would jump our cars & trucks looking for food and you could here there nails scarping the paint....again I don't blame the dogs, though they where STARVED!

I do not care what she was doing breeding or what , I want justice for the animals! And to make her go without food & water for a day or two and live in the basement with no light, heat or air and only a 3 inch crack of fresh air and lay there next to her dead little friend that was starved to death.

Oh and what about the kids that lived in this house? Oh ya she has 2!

OMG , there are some cute little Chihauhau's, Yorkies, Maltes & then the Shar-peis, labadoodles,Labs Ber.Mt dogs, and the little corgi. I hope they WILL not give them back to her and can clean them up & treat them and adopt them out.

Nancy, thank you for being persistant and getting those dogs out of there. As a Mommy to three beautiful girls of the canine species, I cannot understand how people can treat animals so badly. They are very intelligent, loving, intuitive, and they have feelings. Anyone who treats their dog or cat as an object and not a family member shouldn't have a pet.

For the owner... Oh no! I'm sorry I cannot feel anything for her , she could walk outside and get fresh air the dogs in the basement.... they could not. Trust me if you saw it first hand , I don't think you would feel sorry for this lady.

We as neighbors got togther and offered to help her contain her dogs we where going to hot wire her fence for her, we had all the supppies... Wire, box & OUR time! SHe cried to me and told me it was hard for her to do the work on the fence and we offered to help her, I myself offered to help her with her dogs. but she never called, and now I know WHY! So feel sorry for her, Nope I do not! These are GODS creatures and we are to take care of them, not abuse them, mistreat them & STARVE them! And make them sleep in 3-4 inches of there own poop & pee { thats what they might have drank to keep alive!}I'm sorry to be so in detail here but Mrs. Dunn needs to serve some time for this & pay a fine ! One yorkie could not even walk because of the poop all over dried up on his fur like dredlox... so now if you saw this would you still feel sorry for Mrs. Dunn?

<quoted text>so its all about what people want? isnt it peoples fault there are so many unwanted pets?
Yes & no.
when I sell a Chihauahu puppy I have a spay/ Neuter contract that I make my clients sign, but not always.

Yes it is people fault , like tied dogs in the yard that are in heat, dogs people dump on the sides of the roads that breed in the woods. And people that just let there dogs have puppies because they like "puppies" then the puppies get bigger and they dump them somewhere or on someone or at the shelter.

Like the swissie... She had some, breeding programs for this breed was very strick they where almost no more of this bred. And if you had more then so many dogs a breeder would not sell you a Swissie!
Some of us breed to keep the lines pure and the breed strong.

Ok, this is a question....
Are people required to have licenses to have a certain amount of animals in their homes? I mean, I'm not expert in the least, but I watch Animal Planet alot, with the Animal Cops shows, where they go after neglectful pet owners and stuff...and I was just wondering if SC has a law about how many dogs, cats, etc. a person can have in their house. Since our state is simply GA-GA over their pets...particularly their dogs....I truly beleive such a law should exist and definitely enforced...there is NO EXCUSE for something like this.

This describes gross neglience by county and city for failure to respond and complete investigation on numerous complaints about animal abuse!
