One thing that Folmer has NEVER been a fan of is education. What a shame for the future- get out of the past Folmer.

One other thing that Folmer preaches at his Constitution classes is if you pay taxes, you can do whatever you darn well please on your land. Imagine our communities if Folmer has his way. Chaos. Thank goodness we'd all have the guns he pushes in those classes as we'd all be killing each other over neighbor spats because of how our neighbors are living that doesn't suit our own land. Wow, Mike that would cut down on those darn children you care so little about wouldn't it?

To Anti-Folmer - Are you out of your mind? Our state representatives, including the Governor waste so much money its beyond belief.

The taxpayers are suffering from a rather severe recession and are faced with reported significant increases in school property taxes to pay for increased teachers’ and state legislators pensions and increased electricity charges resulting from the deregulation of electricity rates, unless the Legislature takes action to ameliorate these prospective increases.

Also, neither the Governor nor the Legislature has really made a significant dent in the state's prolific spending habits. So long as we operate arguably one of the most expensive state legislatures in the country, so long as legislators and state employees and members of the judiciary receive COLA increases in annual compensation (while senior citizens living on social security and others living on fixed incomes see no increases in their meager annual incomes), so long as the state and local authorities pay the highest cost labor for state and educational infrastructure projects and so long as the state pays tens of millions of dollars annually under no-bid contracts to politically-favored law and consulting firms, neither the Governor nor the Legislature is doing the job that the voters expect.

Also, any CEO (Rendell in this case), faced with a severe reduction in revenues, could reduce an overall work force of some reported 77,000 by something on the order of 10%. This is done all the time in the private sector when significant restructurings are required.

Accordingly, I urge Senator Folmer and his House and Senate colleagues to stand firm against the Governor's and Democrats' attempts to increase tax revenues and to diligently and faithfully work to reduce the excessive state spending that we all know exits.

In the meantime......right-on Senator Folmer! You may not be perfect and some liberals who worship at the alter of government spending are horrified at the thought of honest-to-goodness fiscal responsibility, but you are one of the most conscientious representatives we have and 1000 percent above Bill DeWeese, Keith McCall, the indicted Veon and, of course, Fast Eddie Rendell, who never met a tax he didn’t like.

I'm guessing folmer did not point out that the bikes were purchased with a federal grant and that it is cheaper over time to have turf rather than grass.

I'm guessing that he also did not point out that all those 65 + people sitting in his audience are probably receiving government run healthcare or will be in the very near future (Medicare).

Why is Folmer only holding his meetings in retirement homes? Is he afraid of some young whippersnapper asking him an intelligent question?

Folmer isn't anti-education. He's anti-teacher unions. Big difference.

I didn't think township buildings were retirement homes. Why weren't you there. You might have learned something?

Mountain bikes = Federal Grant = Tax Payers Dollars.

Why is it that you feel that way? What has he said or done that makes you believe that he only "wants to line his pockets"? Also, who gives a sh!t about his son? His son isn't our representative.

Who is the man who can't get over the bikes at Cedar Crest? Do you have children there? I wish my kids went there as they are inspiring those kids to ride and they encourage a healthy lifestyle.

If our schools and our youth were truly meant to live in Folmer's world and be out right ignored (more in his pocket right) then how many of these youth will end up in jails in the very near future? OH that's right- Folmer encourages gun ownership so these wild, ignored youth will grow up with guns too.

Tell me about Folmer's son- I'd love to know! I'm sure "Citizen Mike" raised a fine young man- ha ha!

Keep up the good work Folmer- "no child left behind UNLESS you are under Mike Folmer's shortcomings"

For the seventh consecutive year, the Lebanon School District was the only district that, as a whole, failed to reach its Adequate Yearly Progress targets. Of Lebanon's schools, Henry Houck, Southeast and Southwest elementary schools reached all their targets, while Harding and Northwest elementary schools, the middle school and the high school failed to reach one or more of theirs.

Folmer sees no need to support public education because that's what his COOL friends are telling him to do.

He did NOTHING to help Lebanon try to retain its Polaris school.

Polaris? Yeah,$30,000+ a year for a minimum security prison for a coupla ne'er-do-wells. Send them AND their parents to real jail and get it over with. I guess you liked paying Chipper $10,000 a month too.

Lebanon's streets? Don't you have a mayor, city council and some cops? How 'bout a neighborhood watch program?

Folmer will steamroll anyone who runs against him, so yer stuck with him. And don't worry, it won't be Folmer destroying public education - Fast Ediie and his pals are doing plenty to make it happen.

You whining, helpless fools. Put your hand back in your pocket, we can't afford to coddle you anymore! Smash the state!

Boo Dumbass Hoo: There were a couple hundred kids in Polaris, not a couple. The kids' parents don't care and some are already in jail. Sending kids to prison is way more expensive than having them in school. And Brightbill is no longer on being paid by Lebanon, hasn't been for some time.

Brightbill needed to go. Now Folmer does too. We got rid of one problem and got another.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Libra

Remember that life isn't all fun and games: handle your responsibilities first, then plan how to have a good time. Your impulses, once you yield to them, will have a tendency to lead you further and further from where you need to be. Make sure you lock the door behind you before disappearing; when you're in this kind of mischievous mood, you probably won't want anyone else to know where you're going.
