Northeastern Pa. gets first all-Hispanic radio station

Exiled, you hit another nail on the head. I never even spoke about terrorism. Living in NYC and Carbondale, I tend to forget about the little black cloud hanging over our heads. I spent a few nights on patrol, immediately after 911, making sure no one broke barrier and tried to head to Ground Zero. Out of state people were fantastic as far as support went. Water and words made the smoky nights go quicker. The threat of something of that magnitude or anything less, to be honest, is very frightening, though I don't live day to day under that duress. All this chatter about the Hispanic manifest destiny of the airwaves is ridiculous. I enjoy the extremist remarks though I notice most are not as harsh as they would have been 40 years ago. The times they are a changin' and, to be honest, if a platoon of Islamic fanatics are knocking at my front door....my Mexican gardener is getting my extra gun. (BEFORE ANYONE SAYS HE'LL SHOOT ME IN THE BACK, LET ME SAY THAT YOU ARE AN IGNORANT PUTZ)

When I grew up there were radio shows that were in all Polish or Italian, playing their music and doing ads for local businesses, mostly food.
Cullerds have their own radio stations with their music and ads for Black owned businesses.
Only makes sense for a radio station to sell time to Latinos for music and ads too. You have to diversify if you want to survive in terrestrial radio today. Too many options out there with satellite radio or Sirius/IHeart and Ipods.

I'd bet the Amish would enjoy a nice radio show in German, except they dont have radios or electricity and music is the Devil's Tool.

I am on my way to a 7-11 . Dunkin on my second stop. Why didn't the out of work Americans grab this idea ? Too many work hours ? It's almost over . They get robbed, shot at and spit on but give you more repect than some American places .
