John, Obama supporters don't so much think, as they emote. That is why they do not need the details, only the feel good slogans. Useful idiots can be expected to emote, that does not require the presentation of fact, policy, or any deep ideological stance. You aren't going to get them anyway for Obama, except in moments when he slips and lets the abundance of the heart flow out of the mouth. It takes discernment to identify it and translate it. Note what messages appeal to useful idiots. Note what they will say when asked why they support Obama. This is the new America, influenced by five second sound bites, hopes, wishes and dreams palaver, and devoid of any real objective analysis. Why? Folks are too self absorbed. They pick their candidate like they buy their designer water. If the packaging looks cool then it must be good or better for you... ..and the pied piper played the shallow tune over and over again. |

I live in faculty housing on a college campus. There are signs for Obama in almost every window. Besides blacks, Obama appeals most to those with advanced degrees. So despite the noise to the contrary, most thinking people in this country are behind Obama. While I don't have a college degree, I think I'll be voting with the P.H.D.s this time around. We tried the "ordinary guy you'd like to have a beer with" for the last 8 years and look where it got us. |

Obama should not have to constantly defend himself over everything that Clinton raises against him. He is running to represent America, not Clinton. She comes off as being childish. It's time to put the Rev. Wright issue to rest. Rev Wright, unlike Bill Clinton, Dick Cheney and President Bush, left college and joined the marines. He served two years and later became a navy corpsman where he graduated top of his class and later became a pulmonary technician. He served on the team of doctors who operated on President Lyndon Johnson and received three letters of commendation from the white house for his service. Obama showed strength by not dishonoring his pastor.

Recently, she explained that she was against NAFTA, but that Slick was for it and well, gosh, she was part of the admin so she had to support him too- that's a real big deal with the clintons, you know?- the loyalty thing?- however, he's been out of office for 8 years- she was elected to the senate because she was "qualified"- not because people felt sorry for her because of-you know- during that campaign she promised to deliver 200,000 jobs to New York- She didn't. Since 2000, NAFTA took 35,000 jobs from New York- get it clear- New York employment down by 235,000 since 2000. And what decisive action have we seen from the "ready to rule on day one"candidate? She's had 8 years AS A LAW-MAKER to DO something. She did nothing- At least Slick made a million trying to take more of your jobs.
