Gerrymandering is the road to fascism.
Fascism is the Republican ideal.

These "hearings" to get public input on re-drawing congressional districts is a joke. Nothing but pure theater. The district lines have already been drawn -- by Republican computers in plush offices and board rooms of their Big Money benefactors. Politicians in power have no concern whatsoever about "fairness" and the wishes of the people. This is just pablum to feed to the public.

We Republican Rulers will use the best computer programs to slice and dice legislative districts through lower-class neighborhoods to divide Democrats and consolidate power for our Korporate Kings. The poor and middle classes have no right to enjoy democracy. They can just pay the bills and shut up. After all, they voted to put us in power, didn't they?

"What can and should be avoided is a process in which a map is rammed down the public's throat with little or no meaningful opportunity for public comment," said Daniel P. Tokaji, an OSU law professor and expert on election law. YES it really does stink when something is rammed down the public's throat with no input (OBAMACARE). I have heard this now so many times from the Dems (SB5 and this), obviously, they have institutional memory loss, AKA collective amnesia.

Has Republican State Senator Kris Jordan of Delaware resigned yet for terrorizing his wife? And if not, then why not?

The following is from the politician's bible...."Scum Bags Rules of the Road"
To the victor goes the spoils.
He who has the gold, rules.
Everyone is created equal..Some are just more equal than others.

Ohio's urban areas have poor and black, but those areas also have affluent white, black, asian, latino, etc.

It's the poor rural counties - the white folk - that make up a large portion of Ohio's "poor" population. Yet strangely, many of them have voted Republican the last decade. Guess you're getting what you asked for now, huh?

TAKE NOTE: If you're middle-class or working or indigant, the GOP doesn't give a damn about you.

Hearings, meetings, committees, etc. None of it will make a difference. They already know what they are going to do - and the "voters" will just have it rammed down their throats (as most of their other legislation has been) and the process of "government" is again about "those who can buy it."

Gerrymandering ought to be a capital offense. It's a crime against democracy, no matter WHO does it.

Feed population information into a computer, get it to feed out an unbiased, non-partisan districting plan for your state. Do it at least every census.

This isn't hard, it just needs HONEST leadership.

Read the Wisconsin papers about Kasich's close friend Governor Walker.
The exact same thing is happening there except they are a little farther along in the process and people are outraged and the lawsuits are starting.

Hey also in Wisconsin they are having recall elections because of their Act 10 (same as our SB 5).

Also in Wisconsin protestors have stormed the capital there in protest and are preparing to recall their new governor.

Also in Wisconsin the governor is signing the same controversial abortion bills.

Governor Walker also wants charter schools and private prisons and Turnpikes. He has been selling Wisconsin's assets left and right.

And don't forget the same Fracking in state parks and tax cuts to corporations.

The list goes on and on.

Yet this is not an GOP agenda. And these are only 2 of many new GOP governors doing this.

This has nothing to do with helping the citizens of their states, but only about gaining more power.

prior to the election there were several proposals that looked good. they looked good because they were not based on party as much as logistics. it makes no sense to have districts drawn that look like a dogs leg or to divide up large cities. lets divide these districts so that a rep can reach any corner within 30 minutes. maybe then the reps will represent all the people not just their favorite party members. i know this is only a dream. the state is to partisan and no one will do what is right for the whole state only what is good for the party and certain groups. the rest must fend for themselves.
